Re-entry Permit
Anyone happen to know? Can one go to any immigration office, particularly Bangkok HQ, to obtain a re-entry permit, or, as with visa extensions, MUST you deal with the Office in the area you officially reside?

May not be the answer you are looking for but you can get one at the bridge in Nong Khai for a tourist visa.
Re: Re-entry Permit
You can certainly obtain 1 just before you leave the country at Don M. or Swampy..

Thanks. A tentative enquiry for a friend, who recently obtained the one year retirement visa. I presume that, as the application form allows you to enter going/coming back dates, you don't have to use the Nong Khai one immediately?udonsmiles wrote: ↑April 23, 2018, 12:58 pmMay not be the answer you are looking for but you can get one at the bridge in Nong Khai for a tourist visa.

I got one in Nong Khai & my visa was from Pattaya but it was a few years ago.
You can also get one in Savanbuhm & Dong Muang airports.

Re: Re-entry Permit
Thanks Bob. And that wouldn't apply just to BKK residents? So there's an actual Swampy Immigration office for that somewhere for the application, rather than as you walk through with your boarding pass?
Re: Re-entry Permit
As far as I know it is now in the Departure Hall - i.e. after security checks but before Immigration.
There used to be a separate, well marked office but I understand that they have closed that now.
Takes about 20 minutes & cost 1,20 baht I understand. You must have a boarding pass in order to use the facility.
