I drove past the place today for the first time, the place was packed, I will certainly give it a try when I can. Well done to the new owners and wish them every success, it’s great to see here in Udon.

Give it a shot Pete. Pretty sure you won't be disappointed.

Beware when busy the service can be very slow. I had a full hour wait one of the times visiting here. First time ordered rib eye steak and while wouldn’t complain it was nothing special. Since I have been here many times and the food has been excellent. Nok who previously owned the Bookhouse is a day time chef there. I’m certain as long as food quality remains the same I’ll return many more times but will continue to avoid if I see it busy and have time constraints.

max will try put any of the sports on you require but as it is not set up as a sports bar he only has so many he can show at once but I have seen both F1 and Super bikes on there

Back in Town for couple of days ,
Thought I check out the Brick house popped
In for a quick beer .
Walk upto bar and hard a real warm welcome off owner
Max and nice to be treat like this a new customer
Have to say about the design of this fabulous bar restaurant I myself very jealous ...
But on talking with Max about the interior he said
Himself and wife put this fabulous looking bar together....
Staff where very polite and helpful and Yes they where
Not on phones and big happy smiles everywhere..
Good bunch of customers there when I arrived and no
Wonder with this very high class bar stroke restaurant...
Will try and get in there to eat on my return from Chiangmai before I depart for Pattaya next week....

have to agree with all you say Big B I was treated exactly the same from my first visit and since then exept now I know Max he gives some good banter do try the food if you can the new Sunday lunch is excellent hope I get to bump into you on your way back from Chiangmai

First time for food but second time here ....
I took little breakfast with tea yes Tetley teabags
Proper MUG of tea ....
MB your right with the food absolutely brilliant but
Wish now I took the big breakfast ...plenty of customers
Here staff just great place very clean and friendly.
Like I said in my last post well done to Max and staff

If only had good sausages, and proper thickness black pudding, blackpudding tastes great but cut far too thing and sausages taste awful.

Sausages and pies are like pizza's; very subjective and it is impossible to satisfy everyone's personal tastes.

Having said that, if they're selling "Yorkie's" mystery meat and preservatives in a skin then yes, it must be awful.

I had a reasonable sausage there on Sunday, not so big but hey size is not everything as I keep telling the wife.

Brick house gets a 10 from me, really hope the place prospers.

Brick House gets a big 10 from me, as well.
Open from 0700 until late evening.
Restaurant / Bar layout is great. All appears to be very clean.
Bar offers a variety of world class tasty draft beer!
Food is good and plentiful served on 'huge' plates with monster soup bowls, as well.
You won't leave hungry here!!
Fruit shakes are made of real fruit, very refreshing.
Fresh 'Mango' shakes ... Super Good ... don't want to miss this one!!
Waitresses are attractive, smiling, and attentive!
Maxx, the owner... a great guy with a congenial disposition, success of his new restaurant
is to his credit alone.

for those of you who enjoyed the book house sunday roast Nok is at the Brick house producing the same great portions with all the condements I have been going since it started in May and its great and central for those without transport

The décor is the best I have seen in Udon.

The food is good, portions are more than adequate and good value for money. The kitchen and toilets are clean.

With the new hotels/apartments going up nearby this place is going places.
