Re: Football Rumours Mark 2
Firstly I do not "always side" with anyone or any team (a simple scan of my historic posts will show that I have "had a tongue in cheek go" at virtually everyone who posts on these footy threads and virtually every team as well including my own)
I'm sure that mat would probably be of the opinion that I am more likely to argue with his comments as he often does with mine. The difference being that when we disagree we are both prepared to listen to the other argument and evaluate its merits alongside our own views rather than just post a string of abuse aimed at each other.

THAT all depends where on the line Banter ends and Abuse starts
BTW :- BANTER ..................term used to describe activities or chat that is playful, intelligent and original.
I'm sure even you have to agree that INTELLIGENT it is most certainly not and I fail to see where posting the same picture 40 or 50 times is at all ORIGINAL

Which Team has Spent This amount of Money in the Last 15 Years ???..............spent £1,711,800,000
Re: Football Rumours Mark 2
Accrington Stanley ???
Arsenal fans hoping for a "big name" signing should be well satisfied with this chap.....a commentators nightmare....
New Arsenal defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos said he was joining "one of the three biggest teams in the Premier League" as he joined the club from Borussia Dortmund.
The Greece international, 30, joined for an undisclosed fee for what the Gunners describe as a "long-term" deal.
Prior to making 186 appearances for Dortmund he played for Werder Bremen, Genoa and AC Milan.
He becomes Arsenal manager Unai Emery's third signing since taking over from Arsene Wenger in May.
The Gunners have already signed defender Stephan Lichtsteiner on a free transfer from Italian champions Juventus, while Germany goalkeeper Bernd Leno has agreed to join from Bayer Leverkusen.
Papastathopoulos will link up again with former Dortmund team-mates Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

Re: Football Rumours Mark 2
88 million....a lot of money for a 33 year old but I suppose if they can get 2 or 3 good years out of him shirt sales and sponsorship would cover a fair bit of that ?
Real Madrid are considering an offer of about 100m euros (£88m) from Juventus for Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 33-year-old Portugal forward is Real's all-time top scorer with 451 goals.
However his age, and Real's need to reshape a squad that finished 17 points behind La Liga champions Barcelona last season, has encouraged the Italian champions to make their move.
Since the Champions League victory over Liverpool in Kiev, Real boss Zinedine Zidane has left the club and been replaced by former Spain coach Julen Lopetegui.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner's future has been the subject of intense debate over the past few years, and his relationship with Real president Florentino Perez has also been questioned.
Any move would eclipse Juventus' record transfer fee of 90m euros (£79m), which they paid for Argentina forward Gonzalo Higuain in 2016.
It would also be more than the £80m Real paid Manchester United for Ronaldo in 2009.

England's American doctors have confirmed the reason that Jordan Henderson missed his penalty in the shootout
"After examining Jordan after the game we can confirm that he was almost certainly suffering from a CON-cusion received earlier in the game when the Colombian player violently headbutted him for absolutely no reason whatsoever"

My Yorkshire Mum just asked "Do you know the name of that Brazilian lad who keeps rolling around the floor?"
"Neymar" I answered.
"Never mind then, was worth asking" she replied.

LIVERPOOL HAVE NOT MADE SHAQIRI MOVE
Liverpool are yet to make an approach for Xherdan Shaqiri, says the Mirror.
However, the Reds are understood to remain interested in the Stoke City playmaker.
"You're going to hear soon on my future," he said. "I was not thinking about this because I was just focused on my national team and I wanted to make a good tournament for my team and my nation.
"It's pretty normal to be aware of clubs being interested."
Someone needs to tell the little sh*t that F*kin' Kosovo didnt qualify
