I'm merely pointing out that support for Trump's immigration policies aren't nearly as monolithic as you apparently believe.
The immigration numbers that matter are with America and me.

Comrade will just keep banging on till he thinks he is correct and we finally believe his propaganda. That's why he has posted nearly 300 post's about Trump. He will never accept any reasoning or anyone with attempting to reason with him.

WAGES! WAGES! WAGES!

In 2017, Trump began putting Main Street ahead of Wall Street, which past presidents had NOT done for at least three decades.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, overall wage rate growth in the second quarter reached an overall level of +2.8% in the past twelve months. The better news is what can be seen in red. White collar and blue collar middle class wage growth exceeded 3% growth, and it is occurring through almost all sectors.

Image

More employed people translates into greater US Treasury receipts. For every dollar gained, the need to spend a dollar becomes less and less. The saved sum is doubled. A fully functional and free enterprise economy makes things affordable across the board.

Trump is proving that a service-driven economy is not all that's possible in America, and a booming economy makes everyone forget about socialist minimum wage laws. Markets determine wages for labor based on supply and demand. Right now, the demand for labor is high and the supply is low, which is great for those seeking work.

Reuters is reporting that there will be high level meetings this week between Mexico and the US on a trade deal. This is at least the second such meeting between the trade partners.

US Trade Rep Robert Lighthizer will meet with a high-level team from Mexico that includes representatives from the incoming president and outgoing president. In the meantime, Canada's foreign minister is headed to Singapore -- out of the loop.

AMLO, the incoming president of Mexico, wants to pursue a bilateral trade deal with the US.

Betting people believe that when Mexico and the US reach a deal, the same deal will be offered to Canada -- take it or leave it. Since Canada joined the TPP, ASEAN members would be able to exploit Canada to get ASEAN member products into the US. That won't happen now with Canada out of the loop.

Trudeau is standing firm on his reataliatory tariffs, still fighting environmentalists and trying to cram a carbon tax upon Canadians. If that carbon tax goes into effect, you can expect to see manufacturing companies in Canada packing up and leaving.

Trump is focused on those willing to talk. Mexico is in that number. Canada is not. According to Lighthizer, the US and Mexico are very close to coming to an agreement.

Again from Reuters:
There will be “technical meetings probably until Wednesday and a ministerial meeting on Thursday,” a Mexican source close to the talks told Reuters on Monday. A second Mexican source close to the talks also said a ministerial meeting was planned for Thursday.
One of the huge results of the deal between the US and Mexico would bring the Mexican economy and their stock market some stability.

If the deal is reached between Mexico and the US, the betting money is on NAFTA being dead.

Rumors are that there could be a major announcement before the end of the weekend or early next week.
seems to be an issue here ,geography is all wrong , the European union is not in Canada or mexico, Europeans are a mixed bunch . perhaps your thinking about the Spanish ? well they do speak Spanish I suppose.. but speaking Spanish don't make you Mexican. talk about a lack of comprehension and a really bad grasp of geography

So first you cite numbers from Harris polls, ambiguously pointing to different polls for different numbers to support your theory, but making no effort to clarify which numbers are from where. Then, when I respond with information which doesn't say that you're wrong, only that it's not as clear as you portray it, you accuse me of.... only using numbers which support my point (exactly what you did to start with), overlooking the fact that I didn't have a point, only noting that it's not quite as clear and one-sided as you seem to think. And now that you can see that the poll numbers may not support your position as clearly as you thought, you say that those poll numbers don't matter, anyway. Right. Got it.

Nice spin, UM.

I clearly stated there were two Harvard-Harris polls consulted. There was no effort to hide it. Read it again.
Trump’s “America First” immigration agenda has had widespread support for years now. A previous Harvard/Harris poll found that nearly two in three voters (66%) support Trump’s effort to reduce overall immigration to the country. The US currently admits more than 1.5 million legal immigrants every year.
YOU chose two general questions out of the 200+ pages to try to claim that the other poll numbers were incorrect. You didn't refute the numbers provided based on their specific content, and you still aren't providing any facts in your latest post. :) I not only provided the data to support what I was posting, but I also provided a link to the entire recent poll. If you're having difficulty separating it all and researching beyond it, that's you.

Due to the criticisms of the kommando gaggle regarding links that I provided (you can look that up yourself), I don't provide them very often anymore. I now only provide the source and let the membership Google their way to it. They really aren't interested in learning anything or reading about it. They just like to troll with their one-liners, jokes, memes and colorful text. :) It's called evolution. Good luck in your research.

The latest CNBC Fed survey shows that economists, money managers, and strategists approve of Trump's handling of the economy at 59%.

The same respondents believed that if all of the tariffs probable were implemented, the result would only affect GDP by 3/10 of 1%. They also believe that the US will most likely prevail in their international trade disputes. If the economy were weaker, the tariffs would have a much more negative impact.

Trump's tax cuts and slashing of regulations were a great economic stimulus. This stimulus gave the US economy more resilience. It was all done in the correct order.

Mexico has some advantages over Canada. US farmers need Mexican agricultural workers. When the moron politicians scrapped the seasonal work permits, the farmers suffered. They justified scrapping the deals because they said the Mexicans were taking jobs from the US workers. What the politicians missed was that the professional welfare "clients" don't want to and refuse to work. The Mexicans and the farmers suffered.

Yep.

When politicians try to fix things, when they have no experience in anything other than being a member of the political class, not very many good things happen in the way of efficiency, effectiveness and value. I'm hoping that Trump strikes a balance with Mexico that also helps us enforce our borders.

As for Trudeau, I think he's made his decision; and it might prove to be a bad one for Canada.

I thought Udon Map forum was a place where people expressed their thoughts and opinions.
Now it seems people just post threads to OTHER peoples views or MSM views.
If you are unable to write down your views then don't post..
People are quite capable of researching, without countless prompts.

Years ago the Mexicans contracted with the government and the farmers. The government knew exactly how many came in and how many went back. The farmers treated them very well because if they had no contract workers, they would lose a big portion of their crop. I picked tomatoes side by side with the Mexicans when I was a kid. I got 2 cents per hamper just like the migrants. They moved from different crop to crop and when the season was finished they went back home with a pocket full of money. They were happy and the farmers were happy.

When the seasonal workers were lost, the geneticists developed tomatoes that could be mechanically harvested. They are like rubber balls with no juice or flavor. If you wanted table tomatoes, you either grew your own or bought them from the farmers market. Field tomatoes were no longer fit to eat. I don't know if you are old enough to know but if so you probably know that tomato juice, soup and catsup no longer have the good flavor. Even my chili bean soup suffered.

Seems we have another MUPPET Show conversation going on between Lone Star & Glalt.

And that is exactly what it is.

Just because Papafarang pointed out quite correctly that Mexico & Canada have nothing to do with Brexit & Trumps Views on the subject.

It really p*sses me off that TOTAL IDIOTS like these two can sidetrack a Topic so easily.

My opinion is that the Trump haters are struggling to find things to whine about so they create meaningless topics.
