The ugly Briton has become a common occurrence.

What exactly is a pillock, and also a twonk? I like the words, just don't know the meanings. Oz ignorance. Help me out.
Actually had a work mate used that phrase many years ago.Never heard it again

I used to hear the word pillock used a lot in the east end as a kid and it was used to infer someone is a bit thick, twonk is a more recent word that pretty much means the same thing.
The forest was shrinking daily but the trees kept voting for the axe as its handle was made of wood and they thought it was one of them.

I was just thinking it was just the sort of word Del Boy in Only Fools and Horses would have used. Sure enough, an extract from one show ....."Skivers & Strivers"

INT. TROTTERS' FLAT

DEL BOY
Oi Rodney, I've just been on the ole blower wiv Samoan Seamus, and e's got a truckload of toaster ovens. Now they're usually 75 nicker each, but e's letting us 'ave 'em for a tenner! Lav-ley jubbley.

[Del grabs his jacket lapels and cocks his head back and forward]

RODNEY
'Ang on Del, are these toaster ovens 'ookey?

DEL BOY
Oh come off it you soppy ole tart, of course they're bleedin' 'ookey, youuu pillock!

For anyone struggling, blower = phone, nicker = pounds, tenner = ten pounds, lavley-jubbley = great, ookey = stolen, tart = usually promiscuous person, but here perhaps stupid

They seem to travel far and wide. More so than their equivalents in other countries.

Bless him, he's bit of a twonk and I heard today that he was on the wrong end of a bit of harsh education. To be fair, it's not just in Thailand, I've seen very similar in the Canary Islands and the Greek Islands etc, booze and maybe drugs can be bad magic for some people. Let's hope he drags his ass back down south or wherever he came from.

Could be worse though...

Southsea does have one thing going for it though . Its about as far away from Jockland as you can get without getting your feet wet . Even better , on a nice day you can get the hovercraft over to the Isle of Wight , which is even further .

Apparently he got some death threats on his public facebook page, now gone private. Hopefully he has learned some serious life lessons.
