I'm looking to buy one, maybe two see-through mirrors, in the 60 cm x 100 cm size range, but I'm so far at a loss where to find any in Thailand, let alone Udon. Ever since I first saw a "Magic Mirror" project, I've wanted to build one.
I've already got two Samsung 24" monitors I'm not using anymore. I have several Raspberry Pi's, and those are easy to get in Thailand. I know where to get the software for it. The one ~huge~ sticking point is the mirror. Two-way mirrors come in either glass or acrylic, but the acrylic ones are both lighter and transmit light better going back the other way. However, whichever one happens to be available would be the one to use.
If you're unfamiliar with Magic Mirrors, here is a YouTube video that explains what:

And the software site that explains how:

And finally, an annoying girl explaining the difference between glass and acrylic mirrors:

Now, if I just had the actual mirror...
Spy Mirror or Two-way Mirror
Re: Spy Mirror or Two-way Mirror
I'm sure there are hundreds of innocent uses for such things
Re: Spy Mirror or Two-way Mirror
Yes indeed. Like specifically the use outlined in the YouTube video I posted.

Gar,
It’s a sad world they we have come to that we talk to mirrors these days.
I wanted to have a large 1 way mirror panel about 2 meters inside the entrance to my house front door. To see who was at the external sliding glass doors and the visitor could just see a mirror. Didn’t eventuate.
The woman at the warehouse that sells Gyproc wall and floor panels and glass said she could do the panel. Drive on the ring road from the Nong Khai traffic shambles towards the traffic lights at Nong Samrong. About half way on the city side you will see a Gyproc sign. Go in and ask at the office to see if they can do.
