CANNOT RUN ADDONS ON KODI 18.1 Leia

It’s me again
Sorted out getting KODI in my windows 10 laptop but now when I install addons- Maverick, Supremacy etc via Install from zip/ install from repository etc they show as loaded on top right of screen (onto my basic Estuary skin) but only appear in my add ons section as basic box with name but no “logos “
Anyone had similar issues and can you suggest solutions

I’ve tried uninstalling KODI & re install but although I now get the logos when I try to open it reports the message”error- check the log for more information”- how do I find the log to check the error ?

I am running KODI on an Android TV Box. Go to the System Settings and enable Notification event logging. The Show event log selection is below. You can enable debug logging also but is very verbose when Kodi running. I had auto updates enabled on play store and when KODI Ver 18.1 was deployed on Play store it automatically updated my Android box from KODI 17.6 to 18.1 and a lot of my addons broke and would not run. I struggled with Uninstalling, reloading and rebuilding Kodi Ver 18.1 for several days and then I disabled auto updates on play store went back to Kodi 17.6 and now all of my addons work. Good Luck.

Don't know if you can use this site in Thailand it may be blocked but try unblocked.com you might need a VPN all sky sports by sports etc.

Installed 17.6 ok
But when try kodigeeks when I try install from zip file I don’t get the next option- install wizard

A lot of times when "New" version of software comes out, from 17 to 18 for example, a lot of addins need to also updated so may take a while to work.

Here is the problem(s)

I would suggest that you run a cleanup utility on your pc such as CCLEANER. It can clean up any junk that is in your system. Then run the registry check. I have had bad registry entries cause me problems in the past. You can download the free version at this URL.

I have cccleaner and run it when it advises I have junk to clear out. But don’t know how to run the registry check as always been warned that as a non tech I could mess my system up if I pressed yes when I should press no
Is that something on Windows 10 standard functions at Start or should I type in search box

You may want to consider trying another skin or maybe installing a build.
I did not bother with the default Estuary skin. I installed the Diggz Xenon build.
I have it running with IPVanish VPN on my Dell XPS Laptop with Windows 10 Pro.

On Ccleaner, the registry check is right below the cleaner option. You can back up the current registry settings before you make the choice as to whether you proceed with the registry fixes. I can understand your hesitancy to do anything with the registry. Thanks
