Quite remarkable that the previous contributor quotes the importance of the rule of law, yet in Australia we have had an established refugee processing system for many years, yet the economic refugees are not willing to use that process to seek sanctuary for their respective families by ignoring the existing processing system. They challenge the rule of law by forcing themselves on our borders, demanding entry to Australia after passing through a number of countries who hold similar cultural, ideology, religious mindsets. Most fair minded Australians would support entry to all bonafide refugees who have been processed via the established processing system.
Should we have a change of government with the upcoming federal election, the floodgates will open again.

Doesn't matter what she did Billa the do gooders have got there way as usual. The free house and new furnishings will be getting set for this poor girl all she has to do is sit tight wait for her goverment taxi to the airport for her free flight back to the UK. Where her name and all previous records will be erased and anyone reporting on her on facebook will be arrested.

The case is expected to last month's or years, all paid for by the British Tax Payer.
He's got his little y-fronts and he's got his little vest, Chaz Jankel, 1998. Mash it up Harry.

The death of the British baby concerns me way more than the legal aid expenses.

I would have thought this is a pretty significant human rights case, which will have an impact on many people over the next few years.
Despite our many and varied prejudices, for the sake of civilised society, let's hope the rule of law can prevail. =D>

Re: Returning Jihadi Brides.
There seems to be an important legal question that Ms Begum's situation (ie her citizenship being purportedly stripped) requires to be answered.
Your emotive, unbalanced response doesn't change that, saint.
I look forward to following the progress of her case through the UK legal system.

Oh just like the fair legal system that the people beheaded and tortured by her ilk went through !!! The problem with this PC liberal approach is that it gives the green light for future generations of murdering terrorists knowing that whatever heinous crimes they commit, there will always be some publicly funded HR team to get them off the hook.

If "murdering terrorists" are getting "off the hook" for "heinous crimes" committed, then the law needs to change to reflect that, and prevent future occurrences.
If Ms Begum has been broken any such existing laws, then she deserves to be charged and tried according to due process.
That's what countries which are ruled by laws do.
