Lucky I don’t pay. Last minute decision by others to get a visa. Didn’t worry about costs.747man wrote:Well You Will use the most EXPENSIVE Airline for Domestic flights,YOU must have Toooooo Much Money...
But Phu Quoc is a nice destination for 155 quid. It was only a suggestion.

Thats' a good shout as when weve done this (to holiday in Ao Nang) we fly to Survanabhumi and then fly on to Phuket to arrive in the late evening so better your way I reckon - thanks for the tipChuchi wrote: ↑April 24, 2019, 1:52 pmI’m not keen on the late flight, I sometimes go Nokair via Don Muang when the return price is similar to airasia ,leave udon 7.35 AM to bkk,1hr 40 min transit time(McDonald’s breakfast) arrive Phuket 11.45 AM. Not good if you don’t like to fly but it’s great to get there by lunchtime.timmy wrote: ↑April 24, 2019, 6:55 amI,ve just booked Phuket , just because its easy from Udon with " airasia " just under 4k return but only 1 flight a day and you don't get to Phuket until about 7.30 pm . also booked taxi to hotel with " Phukettaxi.com " return when coming home less than 1500 bt .

From my house, the sea is only 400 km. Around 500 km driving. Vinh Vietnam.
But as the old saying goes, "Kaint git there frum heah."
Welcome to the third world. Ahh, paradise.

Re: Holiday recommendations
Great suggestion there.
But do it soon before they totally bugger up the place as proper tourist trap.

Re: Holiday recommendations
Thanks for the heads up Barney re Phu Quoc, the beautiful beaches, excellent accommodation choices, fishing charters and the 27 hole golf course have done it for me. Already in the planning stages
Re: Holiday recommendations
I believe that Sihanoukville is a must to avoid now other than Otres beach.
Full of Chinese brawling and spitting everywhere.Nearly all the western expats have left and relocated to Kampot or Phnom Penh.
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.
Re: Holiday recommendations
Thanks for the Info Andy, I Was Thinking of trying it But will NOT Now....Cheers..

Chuchi , just back from my Phuket trip flying " airasia " I fully agree with you the Udon / Phuket , straight flight was crap a 1 hour delay going got us there much to late , and a 2 and a half hour delay coming home would never use again ,Chuchi wrote: ↑April 24, 2019, 1:52 pmI’m not keen on the late flight, I sometimes go Nokair via Don Muang when the return price is similar to airasia ,leave udon 7.35 AM to bkk,1hr 40 min transit time(McDonald’s breakfast) arrive Phuket 11.45 AM. the udon / bkk / Phuket seem much better and the same cost .
Re: Holiday recommendations
Timmy, every time I flew airasia Udon/Phuket I started to feel an hour delay either way was becoming the norm, that’s when I started to look at an alternative route.timmy wrote: ↑May 8, 2019, 8:14 amChuchi , just back from my Phuket trip flying " airasia " I fully agree with you the Udon / Phuket , straight flight was crap a 1 hour delay going got us there much to late , and a 2 and a half hour delay coming home would never use again ,Chuchi wrote: ↑April 24, 2019, 1:52 pmI’m not keen on the late flight, I sometimes go Nokair via Don Muang when the return price is similar to airasia ,leave udon 7.35 AM to bkk,1hr 40 min transit time(McDonald’s breakfast) arrive Phuket 11.45 AM.
