Asian Peak Commons area closed

Post by NongKhaiLee » May 28, 2019, 9:27 am

The wife and I are not really much for nightlife, but we like to shop at Asian Peak, which is down the side street behind Tesco, but we noticed recently that the commons area where the concerts were held and the bars and restaurants are has been fenced off. Upon checking we found out that during Songkran there was a fight involving people drinking there and when the military responded to restore order a young soldier was killed by one of the people involved in the fight. Reportedly the government has ordered the commons area closed for five years.
We feel bad for the soldier and his family, but also for the owners of the establishments there.
