Mrs tam's been busy getting rid of old trees and shrubbery around the yard so now shopping for new stuff.
Mango trees. Anyone know of a good garden center sort of place that has such that can be transplanted?
Also wondering if there' are any local citronella-type plants that we can place nearer the patio and front doors as the mozzies are a real bugger this year since our useless neighbor insists on using his small, front yard pool for breeding them!
Mrs tam says she's heard of some decent places up the Nong Khai road but any tips and GPS would be handy.

Re: small trees and shrubs
You should be able to find everything you're looking for at decent prices at the gaggle of nurseries located at the 4 corner Old Lotus/ringroad/Nongkai Hwy. If you're coming from the clock tower, turn at the 4 way toward old Lotus. Before you come to the BMW dealer, turn left and you'll see several nurseries selling trees of every variety, flowers, shrubs, and several unusual plants. Prices tend to be very good and there's a wide selection.

With Parrot on this one for location.
Procured lots of small plants and even grass over the years. Plants are usually healthy.
I got 6 mango trees and they were very healthy. There are different varieties and we got 3 differing types.
They should have the ID tag with photo of which mango the tree will yield. All were grafted so may help fruit earlier. Have a look at what type you want on the internet.
They have some small bags of soil to place with the tree on planting.

Thanks for that. We ran out of time to check on that today so plan on hitting them tomorrow before traffic and heat kills all the fun.
