There are some fine Universities in the USA and I have many fine American friends, but the population at large is not well educated, has a very weak understanding of the world at large,is increasingly isolationist, jingoistic and delusional about its capabilities.

FFS, they got the snot kicked out of them by little countries like North Vietnam, Honduras and Cuba where the US had to slink away with its tail between its legs. This has been followed by dismal failures in the Middle East, South America. Dictators like Putin, Kim Il Sung and Xi Jinping treat America with disdain.

Luckily my two boys have only three sets of uniforms
The usual standard short sleeve shirt and shorts
P E kit ( sports kit)
Scout uniform
My puzzlement is with the weekly scout day, they all dress up including the teachers and seemingly pay the scout aspect lip service and basic normal schooling resumes and takes the majority of the school day.
Now I’m not whinging about this as I want my kids educated to the best of their schools teaching ability, but it just appears to be a dressing up day and a love of all things uniform, and very little else.
Back in the U.K. I was a cub and scout and enjoyed every minute of it, a fantastic learning and communal experience dedicated fully to the philosophy of Baden Powell’s scouting movement, but here in LOS it just appears to be another dressing up day sadly

My 9 year old stepdaughter has the same Manxlad but last week (Thursday) she was frantic because she could not find her long white stick. Me and the missus drove to Nong Han to buy a new one and arrived at her school (new private one at Nong Mek) around lunchtime. Was really surprised to see the teachers in uniform marching the kids (in uniform) up and down the quite large play area, calling out timings etc. All quite military like and I have had quieter RSM's take a parade. Nothing like starting them young.

Having an opinion is fine, however it flies in the face of one of America's own educational researchers

That settles it. One high school in Montana saw grades rise 1/3 of 1 percent. OK, I concede. It is impossible to argue with such incontrovertible proof.

not bad for 1 year, by the time students go through 4 years of senior high that should be much bigger. The point here is uniforms improved, not detracted from academic achievement, if introduced K-12 it will equate to nearly 4% and a much better disciplinary outcome
