Sometimes even the NY Times and Washington Post and CNN have to report truth when it slaps them across the head enough times like a 2x4.

After two-plus years of GET TRUMP BECAUSE TRUMP, and LIBs making up anything and everything they can about the man, he continues to succeed in his "America First" agenda, proves them wrong at almost every turn, and watches Democrats self-destruct with their anti-American socialist and economy-destroying proposals. LIBs won't admit it, but even COLLECTIVELY, in the Marxist way of thinking, their candidates SUCK. HUGELY. All of them together, with all of their best attributes, cannot beat Trump on policy. So they lie and smear the man and his supporters. They've got nothing else.

Americans who weren't old enough to be part of the working class during the Reagan years, are learning about Free Enterprise and Individual Liberty in practice for the first time in a long time. All they've been exposed to is the education system that bombards them with "evil capitalism, wonderful socialism" myths. Now they get to watch Venezuela collapse in real time and the US lead the world again.

Trump won't lose any support from 2016. However, because of his programs and policies he can certainly gain -- and IS gaining support.

Democrats? Their moonbat loon approach is losing some Democrats. Some will vote Trump. Others will just stay home and not vote at all. There's no enthusiasm for America in any Democrat camp. The enthusiasm among their base is for destruction of American values, destruction of the rule of law, and confiscation of wealth, assets, guns, and anything else they don't like that is LAWFUL. The Democrats are losing HUGE numbers of Independents. Many Independents will vote Trump. Few will choose not to vote at all.

I don't really have a side in this as I'm not American. Sure, I have opinions but they're not based around a one side is terrible and the other is awesome view. I find life more complicated than that. For me this is a fun fest on current affairs although I'd accept the US is wrestling with some big issues.

By side, I principally meant Republican and Democrat. I think Trump is overwhelmingly terrible but that doesn't mean I think he's always wrong. Sometimes I agree with his objectives but not the manner in which he advocates them or wants to carry them out.

Yes, they should and many do. Unless they have a death wish -- like some countries in the EU.

"Yes, they should and many do. Unless they have a death wish -- like some countries in the EU."

Now why would you go and say something about another country where as when someone says something about the good old USA you are up in arms calling them names, slandering them ( I didnt mean that), drawing funny little pictures,
just being abnoxious (odiously or disgustingly objectionable : highly offensive from websters and I didnt mean that either)
This does not create a cordial (friendly, warm, genial, affable, amiabl) atmosphere for others to paticipatate in
If certain EU countries run their boarders in such a way that is not in line with your thinking let them be and learn by their mistakes

get the guy who loves ladyboys calling other people cumguzzlers. Paula says Hi Mark  ,have you bumped into him lately :-& . before you all ask LS used to hang around outside my bar waiting for Paula to finish work, too cheap to pay bar fine either, mind you if you watched them chatting you could tell there was some magic going on between them
It's time to put all of your nonsense lies to rest.

I bought your employee known as "Paula" a drink over a few nights. Maybe two. Maybe three. You benefited financially from my business at your now-failed Monkey Bar. I gave the employee known as "Paula" a lift home once because it was on my way to my own abode. Never saw the employee known as "Paula" at your failed business or anywhere else again.

I'd do it all again tomorrow. There's no shame in that, despite your efforts to make it so. You hired "Paula". If by associating with "Paula" is so horrible, what does that say about you?

Patrons of your businesses should be forewarned. Anyone who frequents any business that you may own now or in the future, runs the risk of you lying about them and slandering them publicly at some point down the road when you get intoxicated enough or decide it is something "cute" to do.

If I had any respect for you, I'd be concerned about your comments. Your efforts don't bother me a bit because I know what happened.

You're too ignorant to realize that your lies and slander -- even if they were true -- only reveal your untrustworthiness and backstabbing nature. You can't be trusted WITH the truth, and you can't be trusted to TELL the truth. Not good for someone in business.

============

After that exchange, all of the usual suspects had a big yuck-yuck fest over it. Worse, they're too ignorant to realize that their complicit participation in public slandering by a local merchant could one day bite them in the ass. Hard. And even happen at the hands of the same merchant.

Whether they have done anything on the sly when out and about, or not, no patron should have to fear false accusations or even true accusations from a business owner -- especially when the actions are legal, and the accusations are intentionally false, done with malice to try to damage the person's character and intended to try to publicly humiliate them.

Fortunately, the slander leveled against me did not humiliate me, but it WAS done with malice, ill intent and knowing that it was a lie. Additionally, I couldn't care less about criticism from those who piled on. Those participants have never earned my respect and don't even have the guts to address me in person. Weakness of that sort is, well, skirt-worthy.

I hope they enjoyed their fun, but karma is a bitch. If it happens to them one day at the hands of a loose-lipped, alcohol-imbibing business owner, they may not be as fortunate as I am. They may have to deal with more grief in their lives than they ever thought possible -- knowing that they thought it was funny and participated when an attempt was made to do it to someone else. A business owner can spin a helluva tale over something as innocent as having one drink with a stranger. All of a sudden, that next guy has his life turned on its head and more drama is brought to bear upon them than the vast majority can tolerate. Fortunately for me, it doesn't apply.

I have a lot of political discussions on this forum, and I try not to take any of it personally unless it's maliciously intended to be personal toward me. Much of it is malicious and personal. Unfortunately, there aren't more than a half dozen members who can have a civil discussion. However, despite my political disagreements and the malicious intent shown to me by others, I would never gleefully celebrate or participate in a slanderous attack upon any one of those political adversaries on this forum.

Decent people don't cheer slander and malice. I don't. I won't. And I hope it never happens to anyone else. Those who cheer it and participate in it are as vile as the slanderer.
You know who you are.

were not just talking about the bar. there are
multiple instances of this particular business
owner " making up stories" just so we're clear

and as is your habit gt93, to slag off the local
expats. I'm not sure your opinion has weight.
I've learned 3 very informative and enlightening things here.

1. Despite a disagreement in the past, mech_401 puts any bias aside that he may have had toward me and speaks what he knows to be a pattern of story telling by the bar owner spewing slander in my direction. In fact, the past disagreement between us may have begun over comments made by the bar owner in question. I only mention it because it takes a standup guy to put all that aside and speak truth. You're a standup guy, mech_401. You provided information here of which I was not aware. Sincerely, thank you! I appreciate it.

-----

2. The merchant who slandered me is known to others habitually "making up stories". I didn't know that. I haven't seen him or frequented any of his businesses for at least 5 or 6 years -- or more. I'm even more glad that I stood up to him and his nonsense lies, defended myself and put it all out there. The truth shall set you free.

-----

3. However, the obvious point of my defense and rebuke of the slander is lost on at least one of the habitually intellectually weak slaggers. I have always ignored him and will continue to do so. However, I'll make the following points.

No one should have to fear a merchant ratting them out, lying about them and slandering them on a public forum.

The fact that this slagger seems to be fine with "telling tales" about anyone, if they make the mistake of being in public, says quite a bit about the slagger's propensity toward gossip, rumor and drama. It's good to know who believes that innuendo, slander, ratting you out and lies are okay if you make the mistake of being in a public place. Your own fault for being in public, right? nonsense. It's not okay. No one deserves that crap.

I have nothing to hide. I don't fear truth, but I do loathe drama queens and sh*t-stirrers who feel it's their duty to create drama for others just for the sake of drama. I steer clear of toxic people like "the slagger".

It's true what they say. "The IGNORANT are IGNORANT of their IGNORANCE."

. . .

Now why would you go and say something about another country . . .
The EU is not a country, and I did not name any country or criticize any country.

Pointing out that some countries in the EU don't regulate immigration well is not criticism. It is factual; and those who allow their cities to be overrun appear to be proud of it. They can do whatever they wish.

Your emotional trolling investment in my posts continues to cause you to overreact and become less focused on comprehension and context. Mistakes result.
