Re: 2019 AFL Season
Richmond probably needs to beat the Lions at the MCG this coming weekend to remain in the top 4. The Eagles are still capable of going all the way again this year. As are, in my book, Richmond, the Cats and the Lions. If the Bulldogs maul the Crows, I'd add them to that list.

Re: 2019 AFL Season
If Brisbane can beat Richmond at The G they will go deep into September.
This is the ultimate litmus test.
I'm still not convinced.

Re: 2019 AFL Season
Brisbane are playing a grand style, however, nerves nearly spoiled the result on Saturday. Come the finals with only 2 players with finals experience l think they will chock. Western Bulldogs have rediscovered their previous premiership form and whoever beats them in the finals will take it out.

Re: 2019 AFL Season
It seems that Bontempelli, and the Dogs, escaped the noose for this next game.

I thought originally when watching the vision he was lucky to have escaped a suspension - for what was a pretty crude and late bump.
It now appears, given the gravity of Haynes' injury, he should have got 2-3 weeks.

Re: 2019 AFL Season
I'm glad to hear coach Fagan will not bother tagging Dusty and will back our own system in this weekend.
The Dogs are on track to meet Collingwood in the first week of The Finals.I am so looking forward to them shutting them out of September.

Re: 2019 AFL Season
I managed to watch all 4 quarters of the Collingwood - Essendon game. Neither side should be going far into September. There are some really interesting games this weekend. It's kind of like the first week of finals.

Re: 2019 AFL Season
Good question. At first I thought cash but perhaps Eddie had been storing bits and pieces for Tony Mokbel and was wanting to dump some of Mokbel's leftovers.
I'm very keen for the Bulldogs to win today. The Tigers - Lions game is a biggie too.

Re: 2019 AFL Season
Was a nice - bruise free - afternoon in Ballarat for the scray. Week off to recharge the batteries and off to Sydney to beat the Giants on their dungheap again. Dons going west will be tough but it's been done before and Lions will be a different proposition at home for the Tiges. Giddy up for the finals boys.

Re: 2019 AFL Season
Lions overawed on the big stage.
You must be able to win at the sacred ground to be a true contender.
I'm still predicting Cats V Eagles for the big dance.
Good luck for the finals to all barrackers.

Hope your predictions are right going to be a tough ask hopefully can get a few games out of Nic Nat
What about an all interstate GF that would please the AFL or is it still the VFL?

Re: 2019 AFL Season
I think that's unlikely. The MCG is a challenge for inter-state sides. I could see one inter-state side in the Grand Final but two would seem unlikely. It would, of course, be an amusing outcome. Eddie would probably have a big whinge.
