"People will now know what they are voting for."
What an utterly condescending comment.
We, the majority of voters knew EXACTLY what we were voting for !!!!!!!! OUT OUT OUT of the utterly corrupt Brussels dictatorship. Such massive financial waste, so much strangling red tape, too many overpaid bureaucrats. No balancing the books, A common agricultural policy that basically only favors the French. A fisheries policy that compels fishermen to .put dead fish back in the sea, the list goes , and to crown it all the EU Parliament has to meet 4 days a month in Strasbourg, what a financial waste , for what???

The first thing that needs to be binned is the Fixed Term Parliament Act, when it was introduced it was probably never envisaged that we would have an opposition to scared to call an election and a majority of MPs at odds with the electorate.

So when the Remoners finally get their way do they really think that the half of the country that got stitched up by the Politicians will just skuttle off back to their social housing (after all isn't that where all Leavers live) roll over and forget all the crap that's been going on for the last 3 years.
They should cast their gaze on Barcelona and see what could be coming their way.

Pretty good "spot the quislings" websites below:

Used the last one for my 'home' constituency that voted to leave the EU in 2016 but the Labour MP, a nice lass despite being one of Corbyn's rising stars, has been toeing the 'anything but Bojo' party line.

I enjoyed Widdecombe's speech. That was interesting. She gave UK politicians a real rollicking and said something such as the UK on Brexit was the laughing stock of the world.

This red suited high priest of Brexit seems to be a very sharp operator and orator.

Mr Johnson told the Commons: "I will not negotiate a delay with the EU and neither does the law compel me to do so."

That sounds good to me: fighting talk from Boris. Let's see his next move against the Remainiac quislings and their attempted coup d'état.

After the proposal for the short timetable to discuss the bill was voted down, many suggestions were made to Jacob Rees-Mogg, the Leader of the House, of ways they might be able to compress the discussions into the time remaining before 31st October, such as sitting right across the weekend, even day and night, rather than have the bill stall, but he rejected each one. His responses came across as petulant. I think the Government/Boris needs to be careful they don't lose the high ground with their posturing/manoevering.

Unless he puts it back on the agenda with a new timetable, I think he might be expecting a lot, if he is hoping that the EU will either not allow an extension, or will only allow a very short extension.

plenty back in time

electoral violence in England and Wales from its peak after the Great Reform Act (1832) until it disappeared before the Great War (1914)

maybe even further back in time before women were allowed to vote

Two decades later, the radical public speaker Henry Hunt spoke at numerous political meetings on the same theme. During August 1819, at one such gathering in St Peter's Field, Manchester, local yeomanry attacked the crowd, killing 11 people. After the 'Peterloo Massacre', as this incident became known in radical circles, the government passed a series of repressive measures, and parliamentary reform still seemed a distant prospect.

The Tory politician Lord Derby described the second Reform Act (1867) as 'a leap in the dark'. And yet only two in every five Englishmen had the vote in 1870. Even the third Reform Act (1884) - which enfranchised all male house owners in both urban and rural areas and added 6 million people to the voting registers - fell some way short of introducing universal manhood suffrage.

So no chance of anything like the 'Peterloo Massacre' ever happening before or after we leave the EU.

Maybe there's a lot being read into some attention-seeking MP's recent, flippant but irresponsible recycling of Ann Widdecombe's view that this is the worst parliament since Oliver Cromwell.

BTW, Ann was talking about Theresa May's serial failures but I have to admit that Bojo's current 1-7 is an absolute ball tearer.

Strange that he managed within less than 3 months in PM position that we have a revised deal from the EU (remember those are the people who said this is the 'only' deal in town) Just watch his performances in Parliament, he actually speaks to the members in that den of iniquities with very little reference to speech notes etc. Where as our scholarly failure of an opposition leader hardly raises his eyes from the speeches his underlings write for him. Quite impressed with Boris so far, could be a Maggie Version 2. :D  \:D/

Boris is no Maggie!
He's managed to replace one border with two borders and introduced certification requirements for NI businesses when they ship goods to the rest of the UK (and it now looks like this will apply to services too). He's given a huge boost to the prospects for Irish unification and made Scottish independence more likely.
Amazing to think that he resigned over Theresa's last deal proposal which was better than this latest deal. Seems that the main problem with Theresa's deal was that it didn't have Boris's name on it.
