Is that a quote from our current prime minister?
Can you give us a link please.
Sorry Pratt. Did I touch a nerve there. Who mentioned your Prime Minister, has he come back from holiday while his Country burns. Please do not take small parts of a statement and post out of context. Please read the whole post.jackspratt wrote: ↑January 8, 2020, 9:21 pmIs that a quote from our current prime minister?

This is the area that has been burnt out this bushfire season (if located in Scotland) - as of 3 days ago:AlexO wrote: ↑January 11, 2020, 8:44 amSorry Pratt
I have NFI about how much undergrowth can grow in 2 years?? A 5 year old has a better grip on this than you.
Morrison is another failure in a long line of halfwit Aussie politicians who Australians seem to think will sort out the problems that Australia has, Duhhh and you dare criticize Boris.
Khun Flip Flop looks like Einstein in comparison to what, an Australian. Probably agree with that one.
I have enough connected brain cells to know that you do not have to control burn 107,000. sq kilometers but selected areas to prevent the spread of fire to that amount of area. There have also been many people who know what they are talking about who have hammered the tree hugging environmentalists who have prevented the necessary preventative measures.jackspratt wrote: ↑January 11, 2020, 2:13 pmThis is the area that has been burnt out this bushfire season (if located in Scotland) - as of 3 days ago:AlexO wrote: ↑January 11, 2020, 8:44 amSorry Pratt

So please tell us how to do controlled burns over 107,000 square kilometres, and every year at that. Of course this doesn't include areas that have not been subjected to fires this year.
There have been numerous people, who know what they are talkiing about, come out in Oz recently to talk about the science and practicalities of controlled burns.
They have a clue - you have NFI.
Op cit....the use of preventive measures known as “hazard reduction”, in which controlled burns are carried out during the winter to reduce the amount of material available to ignite when temperatures rise. Some Australians grumble, without much evidence, that “greenies” worried about plants and wildlife have been holding this practice back.
She has some idea - you on the other hand have NFI.
Simple legislation like banning 2-car and 3-car families from living in the forests?hairyharry wrote: ↑January 13, 2020, 10:44 am2 years ago, the town of Paradise in California was destroyed by fire. The town had extensive evacuation plans in place which failed. The fire spread extremely quickly and the evacuation roads were too narrow to cope with the volume of traffic when the whole town needed to flee. 87 people died as a result.
They're still arguing over whose fault it is rather than taking corrective action. Americans have always loved the sound of their own voices in such circumstances. I never thought Australians would suffer from the same disease.
