They do not refer to it as Ice Hockey in Canada its just called Hockey.
If this is used Ice Hockey to distinguish the 2 types of Hockey then you would need to start to refer to the other as "Grass Hockey", but we cant use that either as Grass/Marijuana is legal in Canada now so it would have to be called (as a suggestion) Lawn Hockey

Thai related .. the home coming senario
Lots of non full time resident transient guys who come n go apart from their Thai spouses must know the feeling getting off the plane dashing in to arrivals to be greeted by a beautiful missus and pick up full of family and villagers along for a ride ... speedy drive home via central to buy em all flip flops a KFC and bar of soap .. then home to find a welcome party planned at uncles expense and finally too tired to have a roll in the hay until the next day after tidying up the litter strewn garden by which time the extra inch of being away a few weeks or months has been lost ..!!
