Sobering reading Doodoo.
Here is an extract from an article on the BBC today.

"At Inovio's lab in San Diego, scientists are using a relatively new type of DNA technology to develop a potential vaccine. "INO-4800 " - as it's currently called - with plans for it to enter human trials by the early summer."

So we will begin human trials in 6 months time. Will there be any humans left to trial this on in 6 months time. Maybe just predicting the worst case scenario but just look at the Chinese Governments reaction to this one compared to SAR's etc. Something is amiss.

The news conference I have seen indicated he has taken advice from state and federal medical gurus.
I’m traveling in and out of Australia 7 feb.
Hope there aren’t to many in the Thai lounge.
Gearing up now for an already cumbersome arrival and entry track through Sydney airport.

Reminds me of the cave rescue last year, all Thai's involved were put in isolation wards for a week or 2 but the falang divers just packed their gear, travelled to the airport and hopped on flights home without any checks!!
Kind of sums up the Thai way of doing things, and all so that the tourist money does not completely dry up.

Just in case I get accused of Thai bashing. The biggest contender for a WTF action must be the Brits evacuated from Wuhan being taken to the isolation facility by bus. Bus driver in shirt and tie and behind him was a medic in full hazmat suit. The World has gone mad (tried to post photo but UM wont allow it for some reason)

Absolutely insane, Canada is doing the same thing but their reason is they don't want to offend the Chinese and be accused of racism. Much better to spread a deadly disease and kill some people needlessly.

I have time to search the internet to be better informed regarding the coronavirus initially causing the outbreak in China.

Unless there is new scientific evidence, there are pertinent facts that are being completely avoided by the scientists and government spokesmen I have heard.

None mention that this virus had been determined to be man-made biological weapon that escaped from a Chinese bio-lab. Occasionally they may erroneously mention that it was derived from some animal.

The need to wear a mask is continually advised. But that by itself is woefully insufficient information. The mask must be as protective as a N95 Particulate Respirator Face Mask. Most other and cheaper masks are close to useless. The N95 mask is not fully effective either due to the small size of the virus and an inability to assure a 100% face seal. AND not one speaker has stated that this virus may also be transmitted through the eyes. Masks may often be out of stock, but my guess is that there hasn't been a run on swimming or other types of goggles.
