I read a post which stated the TOP officials in the USA are giving advice, well I for one read what the TOP Official in the USA said, not a problem, but then he lies and is lying even more to boost his pre-election strategy , so when anyone says a TOP official in the USA, needless to say I ignore them completely .The best advice as already stated is to be careful, and sensible in personal hygenie and try unless you really have to , to not mingle where there are a lot of shoppers and crowds, so UD at night is out of the question, shopping before 1200 in most stores okay, after that nope . This will probably include Songkran activities by its nature moisture being spread about will ease the passage of droplets of the virus should a water thrower have it .

So much so, even back in the 1980's when tourism was just taking off there, their government was issuing edicts to stop this cultural affliction lest it offend the visitors. At no point was the rather obvious health aspect ever mentioned.

As for hand washing, how many times a day do you wash your hands and how thoroughly? Apart from the obvious after using the dunny, how do you cope when out and about, shopping, traveling, etc.? Does anyone head off to the rest rooms to wash their hands before popping into Fuji or Sizzler or Brick House?

Another point I read is that the Health Minister who declared that the Motor race in Buriam will go ahead and states that it will be Coronavirus free, has threatened student protests with Govt action to prevent the virus spreading at mass rallies.
I fail to see the difference , both events will mean vast numbers of people congregating , one will make money the other will show up the Govt. I smell Hypocrisy here.

I agree they are NOT calling it a HOAX, but they have Ministers who are clueless same as POTUS, leaving it to the PROFESSIONALS it seems is not The Thai Govts way or the USA
