Up until yesterday the number of deaths in the WORLD(3928) was almost the same as number of Deaths on Thailand Roads (3110)
BUT all of a sudden, Deaths charged ahead up by nearly 3503 to a total of 7431
Italy Deaths at 596 for the day (Damn) along with an additional 8454 Infections in Italy today

I think some of these numbers are pretty misleading. I suspect the authoritarian oriented countries such as Iran and the US are deliberately under-counting. I understand that the US still isn't doing much testing although symptom free Congressional Republicans seem able to get tested.

That's really selfish when testing resources seem to be surprisingly scarce and therefore precious.

I really think, generally the number of infections worldwide is under-reported due to the simple fact many if feeling the onset of a possible virus related problem are in fact doing what they are told and self-isolating, so the true number of possible infections are not officially recorded.
Many of those self -isolating if not in a current job or have no need to work are not even missed .

The US bans travel from Europe for 30 days, Italy has 196 deaths overnight and the doctors there are being asked to treat patients based on the odds of survival, Sunak pumps billions into the UK economy to fight the effects of the disease and the govt announces it is stepping up the level to critical. The WHO declares covid to be a pandemic and urges ALL governments to take the virus more seriously and still some people don't get it and say its just like flu.

Personally I don't think so.

Trade is NOT suspended, only passenger travel by 27 European nationalities.

When you look at the make up of the government's of those two nations, it's not too hard to accept their total silence on this. If Hun Sen hadn't grandstanded and accepted that passenger liner last month, Cambodia would be more of a Covid-19 'black hole' as well. By the same token, none of them have international airports as transit hubs either.
