I don't know if you bothered to read my reply it was in response to GT93's post concerning Trump not accepting and leaving the Office if he loses in my opinion it was a valid response. However feel free to take your intellectual pot shot at me, you have of course every right to dictate what I should or shouldn't post it is after all your personal forum.

Here you go again thinking were all against you or thinking certain members own the forum you can do better than that if you want to debate fine argue your points fine but don't harp on about the past or use the blame card when you don't like what your hearing. You were 100% wrong on the day of posting. We just did not have the growing figures as they were not available, nor had the protests run their course.
However, your post was not about figures, you wanted to downplay the importance and depth of anger, to portray these protests as insignificant. You failed absolutely to understand the depth of feeling and importance of the protests.
You wanted to believe it was a tiny, tiny fraction so you could dismiss views that opposed yours.
Otherwise you would not have made the initial post.

The hyperbole emanating from the US and other countries over the current situation is a tad disturbing, especially when as now many SENIOR Republicans have come out against the a sitting President.
His reactions may be far-reaching and painful to watch, as for stepping down gracefully , after Four years, I think it is impossible for him to be graceful, it is not in his make-up to be polite in defeat, nor I doubt will he go quietly. He may well try to force a re-election, but the question remains WILL the P:ublic allow that to happen. Will it spurn more problems , even more than now . Will Congress and the Senate ( who may well be no longer Republican led ) also allow that to happen . World-wide we have seen the way Allies and friends treated with disdain by this president , plus the GLEE of China and Russia over what they see is the biggest Clusterf**k in American Politics and Foreign Policy all because of the Man-child occupying that Seat .
What next everyone is asking , I think watch this space is the only way forward . But that is logical and Trump does not have a logical brain almost akin to the Govt of Thailand, shoots from the hip and bugger the consequences.

I would not write Trump off that quickly.The 'silent majority' same as in UK will be put off by lawless rioting and looting.
As in UK ,the liberal elite have been buoyed by anti Governments action and rhetoric but will that translate into votes. I very much doubt it.

When we in UK voted for Brexit, and voters in US voted for Trump I can still recall some of the comments.

Whilst it may be the popular view that protests (riots, looting, arson and destroying of others property and business) should be the cause for an elected President or Prime Minister to resign they'll be falling like dominoes.
There is an election due and perhaps only perhaps the American people should cast their judgement on Trump.
If he is not reelected so be it The People have spoken should it be any other way?
