Who knows what he was trying to do? He seemed to have papers or something in his hand. He was an irritant rather than a threat to the cops. He was kind of behaving like he doesn't have the full quid.

The cops who shoved him seem to have regretted what they did immediately. They must have felt sick when they saw the blood. They would have been anxious he might die.

Well I saw them hesitate, and then pass him by, not offering any assistance, so they couldn't of felt that badly, on the other hand if he was black, he would of been beaten with batons, so he got off lucky.

What a BS Video and what a clown JD is

Reporters and Media Presenters seem to think they are a special class of people.

In my humble view (for what it is worth), most of them are nothing better than a used car Salesman on Parramatta Road. (Sydney people will be able to relate to this). Or to put it in another Way they Reporters and Media Presenters profess to place themselves above others, when they are not.

A guy walks up to Police in a Protest or Riot environment, flashes a paper/plastic ID (which anyone can make/copy) and says I am a Reporter for CNN, as though the Police have to believe him and what he says. The CNN Reporter does not have the right to be in that close proximity to the Police, if the Police deem it otherwise.

In the environment such as that the Police are now, they have to take measures and play it safe with any approaching them or getting to close. How the hell are they able to predict what he might do or what he might have concealed.

As for the other statements by Jimmy Dore in his video, all I can say is the man is a F...kn idiot and probably would be the first to call the Police for help if he needed them.

Yes the latest calls(demands) are to defund the police forces in America,Their having some minor victories but if they could in anyway remotely succeed how scary would that be.

A very perspective article from Astore, there is a mindset issue here.

Not in favour of defunding police at all. Neither is Biden despite attempts to state otherwise as a political stunt.

Greatly in favour of better training, better discipline and ensuring that those in the force who think they are above the law have instilled in their minds that there are limits. Ordering people inside when they are doing nothing wrong, assaulting the press, attacking peaceful protesters, these types of actions are not what is needed from any police force.

What I have read about - albeit very briefly - is to look at a potential different model of policing and law enforcement.

Certainly worth looking at in my view.
