Had a few good storms here over the last few days and nights.
Maybe something to do with the small Nong Bua Lamphu mountains?

A pleasant coolish morning, withy scattered clouds, now currently clearing to show a blue sky with the sun shining . All in all a pleasant start to the day. Rain yesterday cleared the oppressing humidity, which is great.

I’ll assume KP you haven’t been out in the yard to long this morning or your report was early.
Just spent the last 2 hours working in the yard sweating like crazy. First 10 minutes was fine then it went down hill.
Good to see the cloud building up though for more rain today.

Normal August rainfall is 280mm for the month.. From yesterday accumulation noted on the web is already well over 120mm. A couple of more days like this and we'll have hit the normal mark.. I wonder if the rest of the month will be good rains and fill the dams.. Huay Luang shows 24% as of yesterday.. Ubol Rat dam near KK shows below minumums.. Hope KK is getting drenched along with the upstream areas that flow into that dam..

The huge swath of parched areas from eastern through central Isaan will easily soak up this seasonal downpour before anything starts topping up the dams.
