Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has been arrested following a late night incident on the notorious party island of Mykonos.

The high profile captain was escorted by plain-clothed police officers yesterday into a police station in the Aegean island of Syros.

The Premier League club issued a brief statement confirming they have knowledge of the incident, but remained tight-lipped on what’d happened.

"The club is aware of an alleged incident involving Harry Maguire in Mykonos last night," the club statement said.

"Contact has been made with Harry, and he is fully co-operating with the Greek authorities. At this time we will be making no further comment."
