Weather in Udon ?

We live 50 kilometers south of Loei city. We had a steady rain all night and as of now it is still raining. My wife received an email from a Loei City resident and they do have some flooding. The Loei river is not very high so the water should drain quickly.

it rained nearly 24 hrs the other day and the city
wasn't flooded. pattaya would be under 3-4 ft h2o

Over the last few years Udon has done tremendous drainage work regarding what used to be flooded roads etc, clearing land drains and the dykes which surround the city. It seems to be paying off as well as collecting more water to be moved to the reservoirs . They have almost finished the new drainage between the two roundabouts vin town .

I also nopted that the wind veered overnight moving the rainmaking clouds further away from this part of Thailand . It was expected 40+ mm overnight, got maybe 2 mm

Looks like the Thai weather forcasters got it right ref this weekends storms n heavt rains .. swirly thing in thw weather map is called Noul n depsoiting a deluge as i type in Buriram ... on its way if not in Udon yet will.ve later today n all weekend .

Time for DM toget his knitting patterns out n start that coolmseason scarn hat n sweater set as cant do buggar all outside n not traveling anywhere in this weather.

Good test for ones gutters n land drainage system .

Lovely n cool mid to late 20s ..26 here today..

Batten down the Udon hat hes add extra glue to they syrup.if venturing out and stay safe

Yep maaka ..if it isnt already raining in or around udon it will.be very soon its pulsating it down here n has been solid for 3 hours ..Noul.moving your way at 15 to 20kms an hour .
For sure low lying areas gonna be seriously flooded .

Checking various weather sites including Windyty, it would appear that the storm will move southwards missing Udon by a whisker ( in metrological terms ) we will get rain and wind but not it would appear the full force, but as the weather is fickle , I honestly do not trust any weather forecast over a 12 hour period , but so far a just a smattering of drizzle.
