Well.its still.lashing it down non stop since 6am. in bannork.buriram and the met office radar is showing a direct hit on Udon this afternoon / evening ..the sky is grey and full.of rain like ive not seen in years .

Looking at Accuweather for tomorrow, it says tropical rainstorm. I have never seen that description before. I have a feeling that this is going to be quite severe and serious.

In the more than ten years that I have lived up here in the boonies I have never seen one of the ponds go dry. Since it had gone totally dry I had an excavator enlarge and considerably deepen it. It still needs another meter of water to fill it up. Maybe this will do it.

Coming up.ton11 hours of solid very heavy rain here ..nit one let up and more so the sky is still.full .. village pond is over the top fish swimming doon road outside mi gate ..crazy ..more toncome for sure .. great test for house land drainage n gutters etc passed with flying colours ..i never understood anyone building here without raising the house plot and not installing gutters downpipes large underground water outlets and if ness a french drain.

Meanwhile back.in Udon ..hows it looking chaps .. u getting a splodge ?? ..its got to have git to.udon by now

Its been steadily piddling it down all day at Chez Niggles. Nothing too much though, it even eases off enough for patches of patio to dry.

Maybe we'll get the brunt of the storm this evening or tomorrow

Well this HUGE strom fizzled out into a minor depression, no Major thunderstorms, Rain yes, as I write still raining but not heavy, sort of heavy dizzle, making all plants etc wet and supplying much needed water to deep roots. Wind blowing occasionally a minor gust, nothing much to moan about at all.
Lost power last night for 5 minutes, suspect the worker brewing his tea or whatever .
Had a minor power surge this AM about 0400 shut off my power to the house only , but in a nano second flick of the switch all up and running again

Looking at WINDY TY, I see that until Tuesday AM, we will have some rain/drizzle etc , with the wind varying from Westerly to easterly very changeable .
Wellies and brollies required for 60 odd hours if going out

With stories of flooding in areas south of Udon, I reckon we dodged the bullet on Tropical Storm Noul which is now approaching Phitsanulok on its way west. The wind direction in Udon has changed since yesterday so we may see some of the storm's tail but it's moving quite swiftly which is a good thing.

Rain stopped her 4am ..so 22 hours solid heavy stuff too.. the current bun is trying to come out but some very dark skies are promising ...accu 90 to 100 % rain again today in a very moist Buriam.suburb..

Seems like Udon certainly dodged a bullet .. even after my rain go away dance .. next time i will sew feathers into my pubic hair for better results .

Got some branch breaking wind last night, but never any major rain. Still socked in from the tropical storm, dreary and dim all day. (The weather.) Enjoying the 26 degree high today. Just had a good strong rain for about a half hour here 20 minutes south and west of Ban Chan ring road intersection of hwy. 2.
