Final act of my Life Certificate Saga, I received an email from DWP Yesterday to confirm that they had received the L.C. and could now start processing it. So that's 18 days from posting at Central Plaza to my receiving email yesterday. Job's a good 'un.

As information - I am still waiting for a letter sent regular mail from Oz on 15 July.

Arrived in my PO box this morning - 51 days after posting.

A4 size envelope, with Air Mail label.

Something has obviously changed.

Same sized envelope, same class of postage, from the same source, arrived today after 17 days.

Maybe the earlier delay had something to do with covid restrictions.

I'm sure that is right, Uncle ......... but I don't know what has changed in the intervening period.

Still very few flights between Oz/Thailand/Oz (by which most small mail travels), and as far as border controls go, publicly both countries seem to be in a similar position as they were back in July.

The most recent reports on here have been that Thai Post has been rejecting mail for Oz - it would be interesting to know if that still applies.

I couldn't even get a Valentine's Day card to Khon Kaen that was mailed from Toronto in mid-January.

I sent a couple of ps4 games from nz to Thailand for my sons on June 19 and they still haven’t arrived.Just about given up of ever seeing them again.They have either been lost or stolen by post office workers,unfortunately didn’t get tracking number.

I remember once sending a photo cd and a letter with 2,000 bahts inside wrapped in foil . my wife got the letter minus the money

I sent a parcel to my daughter in victoria country side Australia, she received today, 6 weeks later

Seems to and from the UK the post is back to normal 4 each way now no problems ,
