Yes it really happened
Re: Yes it really happened
Accept facts you’ve found on the net.
Says it all really
Doesn’t research involve asking questions then?
Oh, & to be clear, this isn’t a “whining stage”. I’ve just been researching in my ample time how to p!ss off a smart ar$e
Carry on smart ar$e

Re: Yes it really happened
Do you have difficulty understanding the written word? Could explain your reluctance to contribute anything other than a quick copy & paste.
Anyhoo, decided to change my research in the ample downtime to what percentage of purportedly perspicacious individuals on this forum cannot use the relatively simple one button quote function.
The results are in & it’s far too ****** many

Re: Yes it really happened
AH Change the subject, that's the way out
Its time to change the subject because, well, just because or is it I cant think of anymore defense unless I refer to calling contributors vulgar names.
Still will wait for the research from you.

Re: Yes it really happened
Nope, genuinely have no idea what this collection of words is supposed to mean. Is it presumed I have to answer something?
(Note the correct use of the one button quote function here folks. It really is that easy)

In Greek mythology, Elpis (Ancient Greek: ἐλπίς) is the spirit of hope (usually seen as an extension to suffering by the Greeks, not as a god). She was depicted as a young woman, usually carrying flowers or a cornucopia in her hands.
In Hesiod's Works and Days, Elpis was the last item in Pandora's box (or jar).
Hesiod does not say why hope (elpis) remained in the jar. The implications of Elpis remaining in the jar were the subject of intense debate even in antiquity.

What are some not as well-known facts about the Waffen-SS?
*The Waffen SS was one of the first volunteer armies in Europe. In 1943; however, they started a draft as they were losing man power.
* In 1944, the Leibstandarte SS (part of Waffen SS) shot 84 American POW’s to death. It was known as the Malmedy Massacre. It is unknown why they killed the POW’s. Speculations range from denying to take prisoners to retaliating against Americans that tried to fight upon capture.
*Contrary to Hollywood films, the black SS uniforms were permanently phased out in 1942, ordered by SS Reichsführer, Heinrich Himmler.
*The Waffen SS swore a personal oath to Adolf Hitler, to protect him and fight for him. Once the news got out that Hitler killed himself, many SS soldiers ditched their posts and decided to surrender as they felt betrayed that their Führer was a coward.

Re: Yes it really happened
Aas a follow up Doodoo
My extensive research shows that the Waffern is actually Thai for WAFFLE .. as in the lovely breakfast or lunch treat that originated in Medievil times later to be introduced by the Dutch via New Amsterdam New York City ..tho also the Belgians do counter this argument believing they made the first waffles in the 18th century.
DM loves em savoury but more so sweet my fav being with a splosh of maple syrup and fresh cream tho i have to admit not had one for along time due to my healthier eating habits.

Re: Yes it really happened
Actually DM The Waffle is somewhat French
"In the late 14th century, the first known waffle recipe was penned in an anonymous manuscript, Le Ménagier de Paris, written by a husband as a set of instructions to his young wife.[17] While it technically contains four recipes, all are a variation of the first"
"The earliest of the 16th century waffle recipes, Om ghode waffellen te backen – from the Dutch KANTL 15 manuscript (ca. 1500–1560) – is only the second known waffle recipe after the four variants described in Le Ménagier de Paris.[24] For the first time, partial measurements were given, sugar was used, and spices were added directly to the batter: Take grated white bread. Take with that the yolk of an egg and a spoonful of pot sugar or powdered sugar. Take with that half water and half wine, and ginger and cinnamon."

Rules theh Queen doesnt need to follow
* She doesnt need a passport
* She doesnt need to pay taxes BUT since 1992 she has anyway
* She Doesn't Need to Approve Freedom of Information Requests
* Fortunately for everyone else on the road, the monarch was a truck driver for the military during World War II, and is perfectly capable of taking the wheel.
* She Doesn't Need to Drive the Speed Limit She is driven by teh police therefore exempt
* She's Immune to Prosecution
* She Can Eat Swan She never has and will never
*She Can Own All the Dolphins
Because of a bizarre rule that dates back to the 1300s, the reigning monarch technically owns all the sturgeons, whales and dolphins in the waters around the U.K. The Queen also owns all the swans in the Thames!

George Best Footballer
Here are just a few of George Best’s most memorable quotes.
On going missing…
"I used to go missing a lot... Miss Canada, Miss United Kingdom, Miss World."
On enjoying the best of both worlds…
"If you'd given me the choice of going out and beating four men and smashing a goal in from thirty yards against Liverpool or going to bed with Miss World, it would have been a difficult choice. Luckily, I had both."
On his legacy…
"They'll forget all the rubbish when I've gone and they'll remember the football. If only one person thinks I'm the best player in the world, that's good enough for me."

And to add doodoo ....... my research shows that studying footballers of today and recent times they are not only grotesquely overpaid but behave far worse both on and off the field then the great George Best did.

To further add, the Queen ( Bless her ) cannot be prosecuted as it is HER law, further more she cannot be arrested, and she can actually do whatever she likes in breaking it. BUT she never has as it would seem an ABUSE of her power. She even tells her drivers to obey all Traffic laws, unless in an emergency . She is NOT driven by the Police but escorted by them, unlike here where you have enormous number of cars to just escort ONE personage.
I was taught that as Police Officer many many years ago, just a little oddity as they say.
