^ Definitely not good dm, but as your bestest ever POTUS has said, "It is what it is." I imagine the Tachileik casinos have been a regular draw for Thai working girls and who knows how many have come and gone undetected and uninfected. My understanding is that a Covid lock down and curfew made them come back as the casinos and karaokes had to close at midnight. I guess some long-standing "agreements" and the turning of blind eyes has caught up with some civil servants on both sides of the border.

In other news, the U.K. has approved the first of the vaccines which I believe also happens to be the same one that Prayuth recently signed up for Thailand.

Pfizer has been approved with the UK buying very limited numbers. UK and Thai major purchases have been with Astra/Zentec who have just in the last 5 days announced that their trial figures were wrong and will have to go through the whole process again. Meaning months before approval.

WHAT ISNT .. on the early morning thairath news channel is the fact its now 6 females who slipped over the closed border ... 10 more infections and at least 200 more in contact with those infected .. spraying bus station an airoprt plane and all the places these fookwits went ..

One can only imagine if any of hese ladies had been foriegners .. pretty sure some charges would of been forth coning ss border was officially closed and quarantine avoided .... as yet no information if the karaoke / casino staff will be in any serious trouble once recovered .

Thai authourities are doing their best to stop a second wave and no legislating for idiiots like the ladies in question

Actually their trial figures were not wrong but it appears there was a mix-up in dosage application in the triasl hence the two jab scenario first one half dosage, second one full dosage. The upside of the Oxford one is storage no need for expensive freezers to maintain the Vaccine . So they are re-doing the trail to acurately produce results

Three vaccines so far. The UK has completed the trials needed for an emergency approval. This has upset the EU who imperiously suggest that the UK's trials and tests aren't as comprehensive as theirs. Germany were on the cusp of a similar emergency approval but Frau Merkel decided it wasn't in the interests of EU unity. I guess that's because Hungary has already given their emergency approval to the Russian "Sputnik" vaccine... but that didn't get much of a mention in the fake news MSM.

In other news, the recently sh*tcanned POTUS is apparently apoplectic that Pfizer, an American pharmaceutical giant, hasn't seen their vaccine approved by his great, American administration before the plucky Brits did it.

I thought it was only the Chiang Mai/Rai tourist jerk that were lamenting a quiet Christmas and Hogmanay due to the 10 errant "croupiers"? You mean Anutin and other space cadets have been talking about waving a white flag on tourists visiting all other parts of this blighted realm until next year? Or have they simply suggested that a repeat of the above faux pas could endanger things. A sort of "what if?" scenario?
