Aye black pudding included, but sometimes changed for (or added) fried haggis. The real traditional Scottish breakfast is porridge with salt. None of yer sweet stuff, just salt.

IMO both are correct .. a lot depends on ones upbringing and if one talks with a plum or plums in ones mouth.

Did you used to have scones from the chippie which were two slices of potato filled with a slice of fish, battered & fried?

Thats the fella.
School dinner time was always bought depending on how flush you were..
Monday - Special & Chips
Tuesday - Fish & Chips
Wednesday - Scone & Chips
Thursday - Dab & Chips
Friday - Scraps & Chips

The rest of the money was spent on Space Invaders in the corner of the chippie

^ Ah...those were the days, e.g.? While the rest of the lads were playing Space Invaders, I was shagging Elaine Ritchie, standing up, behind the bus shelter just up the road.

If referring to the baked thingy that posh people have in the afternoon with clotted coo's milk and jam, its scon (scone). sc oo ne (Scone) is the name of the Scottish Castle which I believe the Queens mum was born and lived in before marrying the stuttering Prince of Wales.
