My wife and l like the food in Nok's also. I think the cottage pie is great. Wife and granddaughter normally eat Thai food with no complaints. Big portions also.
Breakfast a bit to much for me. Next time will try a small one.

Why?

I Haven't eaten her curries here but did at the bookhouse for years never any problem with taste or size of portion. In your opinion what was wrong
Bought 3 different flavours in order to know what to buy in the future. However each one was virtually inedible and after a mouthful had to throw away.
This is most unlike me and the wife was most surprised !
Wow what a difference one persons view on a dish can make, absolutely none in this case as Saturday curry specials day are very popular and the feedback from many people who come every week is that it's the tastiest curries in udon

Someone needs to advise her to get rid of that monstrosity above the "Green Curry" sign ......perhaps a nice pic of an individual instead

Wishing her good luck as she is known to provide good tasty food (especially the chunky chips)

Ok thanks for the replies on all points.

Looking forward to popping back in at Nok's "Le Country Grill". Especially if the layout is the same, pool table and all.
Noks place is The Country Grill ,the previous owner called it Le Country Grill as it was obviously French based and there is a brand new pool table outside

I agree. Curry very disappointing.
My curry dish contained approximately 5 small pieces of chicken in what I would describe as a curry soup, not a curry sauce. The samosa and the Nan bread were very greasy.
Best Curries in Udon by far and I'm a curry expert😁👍

It would be pretty hard to go past the curries at Chris's place. You need to phone to see what night they are on, I think Fridays but not sure if on other nights. Andy is a great cook/chef
Best being part of this forum by placing the intellectual challenged on foes list. A lot less post to read and a great time saver.

Nice 👍
Unfortunately I’ll have to bow out of the challenge before it even starts. I don’t do cooking 😂

Fish n Chip WARS .. yeah ..

Steeles in Cleethorpes gets my vote tho Carvers on ASHBY HIGH ST also take some beating ... never had proper fish n chips in Thailand anywhere... never no scraps either
