Playing Bridge

We have a very small informal Bridge club in Udon. Numbers have dwindled over the past 5 years, and we need new players. No previous experience necessary, we are happy to teach you if need be. You do not need to be an intellectual, just like the challenge! We meet twice a week in Udon (mainly Nong Samrong). Date and time flexible.

So, if you are bored sitting at home on your computer, give us a go. No gambling, purely for fun. Costs minimal (room cleaning costs, about 10 baht!).

Wow the playground bully and UM champion user of constant childish name calling doesn’t like it when called out. Even a friendly game of cards can turn sour with some. Those nerves are close to the surface. Threatening to publish emails, perhaps that would encourage others to publish messages you have sent.

OK Barney, a giant so what? You know nothing about this particular situation, so apart from big noting yourself butt out. So many posts about what a self congratulatory great guy you are, this just another one. They must have come begging and feel cut about you spurring the invite.

I posted a response because one member of that group is not welcoming at all, and those thinking of joining should think twice. There is one highly critical player who belittles others. The rest of the group are very nice guys. They are very experienced and skillful players to boot, but it only takes one to create a problem. When that one individual described my poor knowledge of the game by calling me a clown. Playing bridge is supposed to be enjoyable. In a complex game constructive comments are welcome, the clown comment crossed a line that I was not willing to let pass, so I left the group.

My dad used to play bridge. He played at three different clubs every Monday, Wednesday & Friday night.

I once asked if I could go with him & be taught but he said no, it was his last bastion of peace & quiet

Perhaps you can repost and explain what 'count pass 1' means, I have no idea what you are stating.
