We’ve had the strong winds (nothing to do with the pickled onions for lunch) & then a torrential downpour for about 20 mins.
I wanted to leave the windows open as it was really refreshing but Mrs N protested about mosquitoes which I’d have thought would have been blown miles away. Never mind, she’s a local & happy wife, happy life , yadda yadda

Temp high was .today 38 ° .. tomorroe 29 ° if im.reading accuweather correct ...thunderstorm.overhead now ..persistant rain mean a quick wskies for the doggies taneet

Rain, rain and yet more rain, still raining as I type . Cool and pleasant with the thousands of dead or dying flying thingys littering the patio by the lights. Not the small variety but the far larger pones ( no idea what they are though ).
Forecast cool and damp , no surprises there, a gardeners happy day, garden watered, grass turning green before ones eyes , Downside is that in the next two to three days , after drying out will need cutting . As with all bushes and hedges, will grow before your eyes.

Are they termites in their winged form or locusts? I forget, but remember that villagers in rural Chiang Mai used to put pans of water under the main light and collect them. Subsequently, the bugs were deep fried. They were a delicious snack.

35mm of rain at kilo 18.....lots of wind and lightning. Our Swiss neighbor and his wife lost their 35 year old peacock tree (หางนกยูง Caesalpinia pulcherrima)....just about to go into full bloom. The previous owner of the land planted it from a cutting......so no taproot.

Prolonged very heavy rain over night washed away the temporary soil ramps into the Factory outlet/Tap car park and also the duck noodle shop .. just leaving a soggy mess with one car already stuck this morning .. duck noodle man has contacted the tesabhan n is trying to get the roadies here to rebuild but no luck so far , needs gravel not soil or will just wash out every time it rains..

DM nothing planned today only a head shave n body wax but that can wait til tomorrow.

More rain forecast .. lovely temps at the mo.

Its located directly on the RR/AP intersection same side as the Tap opposite Nong Hin school .. there is a sign out front ..maybe Niggly or Parrot can post a google pic /map.

At the moment its all a bit messy due to new drainage being installed ... but plenty of parking inside the Noddle shop itself.

UPDATE.. just walked across and duck noodle man has closed today as no access due to the temp soil ramp being washed away .. opening again Monday 19th.

Two waves of high winds & heavy rain last night. The garden has been drenched which is a good thing for Mrs N’s new delivery of trees.


Incidentally, the only evidence of suicidal flying things is lots of wings on the floor of the pool house which is the only place without LED lights

Well non of the forecast overnight rain arrived (in our area that is) .. was 100% on Accuweather and still saying rain for the next day or two before back to a a dry spell.
