Re: Conspiracy theorists
The only thing I believe that comes close to a conspiracy theory is the undeniable presence on Earth of Red Lectroids from Planet 10 that got here by way of the 8th dimension.
Re: Conspiracy theorists
Hmmm, never heard of them. I like Giggle's grey suit and pink shirt, tasteful. Declan needs some fashion advice if he thinks brown suits are cool.

Re: Conspiracy theorists
As the author says, it is impossible to talk logic to these peple. Sadly 2 people close to me have gone this way.
Re: Conspiracy theorists
It's not a lot of difference to Fundamentalists, blind faith over any form of logic. Groups like Jehovah's Witlessers associate only with other JW's and consider all others as sinful worldly people. Some Muslim crazies like Wahhabis, Exclusive Brethren, Daesh, Scientologists (not that is really a religion) also operate in very closed bubbles. In the teeth of all logic, and all science they hold onto their views which they share and are reinforced by other cult members.
It's interesting on this forum, the most outrageous claims seem to come from those who consider themselves committed Christians, blind faith in religion indicates that they can easily transition to blind faith in conspiracy theories. Semper and 'He whom I will not spake his name', both lace their crackpot ideas with biblical quotations as if being a Christian automatically confers their message as being the truth. The Proud Boys and Oath Keepers also justify their behaviour through their mixed religious/patriotic beliefs. I remain baffled.

Re: Conspiracy theorists
Politics + Religion = Conspiracy Theories
Don't mix politics and religion, it's a bad combination, and there's no antidote for it.

And, baffled you will remain. It seems to be the story of your life to this point.

Brilliant work, adding nothing apart from a barb from a cranky old fart. You really are a sad case LYM. I am not baffled by you, simply observing and wondering why some of us do not get wiser with age.Laan Yaa Mo wrote: ↑April 17, 2021, 7:57 pmAnd, baffled you will remain. Tamada,
I tried for 40 minutes, I guffawed quite a few times, but as a non drug taker, I could not manage the whole movie. Recommended viewing for Ganga and LSD freaks. John Lithgow is a cack-up.

Re: Conspiracy theorists
OMG LYM. What a brilliant and witty response, you must have a team of professional advisors, as no one man could have dreamed up making such a F*&in awesome riposte. It was full of guile, subtle but non ambiguous, sharp yes, condescending yes but somehow it captured your wit.. Congratulations.

Re: Conspiracy theorists
Keep trying to write something intelligent. It is a tough slog, but you might be able to do it although as someone like you who is perpetually 'baffled'...well, you get my drift.

Of course i get your drift. You are posting a personal insult. What's so hard in figuring that out?Laan Yaa Mo wrote: ↑April 17, 2021, 11:16 pmKeep trying to write something intelligent. Re: Conspiracy theorists
These days everyman and his dog are spouting conspiracy theories and most are complete claptrap , the biggest problem is that millions believe the rubbish and so we have a countries where the population believe almost anything .

If you mean abandoned and cast out at papafarang's after a Friday Ploughman's Lunch then indeed it is a worry.
Common sense and logic is pretty much doomed at that venue after around 4 p.m. anyway.
