As reported by Newsweek, minority students at the public research school can now apply for exam and essay extensions if they’ve suffered said stress.
The addition to the school’s list of accepted circumstances comes courtesy of a students union proposal.

Of course, a lower IQ among said minorities would have nothing to do with their academic troubles, would it? It MUST be those evil smart people holding them down!

Why did the world suddenly stop administering and publishing IQ scores in the early 1980s -- especially when broken down into specific demographics as gender, socio-economic, and race? I think we all know why.

The results didn't fit the narrative. And don't drag out the sad, disproven line that IQ scores aren't valid. They are exceptionally valid, reliable, and useful. But they expose a truth that many nitwit snowflakes just can't handle.

The narrative used to be that African Americans didn't enjoy the same opportunities as others; that's why they languished at the bottom. After half a century later, after a myriad of head-starts, benefits, free Obamaphones, free food, transportation and housing ... they are WORSE than they were in the first half of the 1900s. Imagine that. Talk about a massively squandered effort. African Americans aren't thriving despite the best effort of bleeding-heart liberal lunatics. The party line is now to achieve equal outcome, not equal opportunity.

They've given up on the "opportunity" schtick, and have jumped the shark straight to the "outcome."

Don't give them the opportunity to compete for the job -- give them the job. Diversity has replaced meritocracy.
Don't give them the chance to live in a nice neighborhood with a new luxury car and good schools if they work hard and earn it like everybody else -- give it to them. All of it. Based solely on the color of their skin.
Don't make them turn in their tests and homework on time like everyone else -- Just give them top scores or you are a bigot raciss!

In fact the only thing that's clear is that people and groups score higher or lower on average due to a number of factors not necessarily related to what is traditionally thought of as "intelligence." IQ only measures a narrow band of capabilities and is erratic. I know my own has been measured several times, when I was studying intensely it was quite a lot higher than when I was working more menial jobs. It does not measure emotional intelligence, social adaptability, attitude to work, attitude to a host of issues. It is like the BMI measurement, not without value, but not the be all and end all either.

Better tests like WISC-R are more sophisticated, for some this has made a simple IQ test redundant. Idiot Savants are another example of the limitations of IQ tests. Not as relevant in 2021 as say in 1970.

The Police Executive Research Forum is out with an important new study documenting the exodus. Here are the key findings:

On average, agencies are currently filling only 93% of the authorized number of positions available.

Among the responding agencies as a whole, fewer new officers were hired, and resignations and retirements increased in the 2020-2021 period, compared to the previous year.

HIRING: The reduction in hiring was relatively modest, with a 5% overall decrease in the hiring rate among responding departments. Smaller agencies actually saw an increase in hiring, while larger departments experienced dramatic reductions.

RESIGNATIONS: Increases in resignations were more significant. Agencies reported an overall 18% increase in the resignation rate in 2020-21, compared to 2019-20.

RETIREMENTS: Increases in retirements were even larger. Among all responding police departments, there was a 45% increase in the retirement rate. (In small departments, a small number of retirements may result in a high percentage increase in the retirement rate. But even in the largest agencies, with 500 or more officers, the retirement rate increased by 27%.)

The survey does not mention specific cities, but you need only look at the responses to appreciate that the police departments in the large urban areas are bailing out at an unprecedented rate. The situation is made worse because the police in those big cities are having trouble recruiting new officers.

The new policy is that if so-called minority or racialized (whatever that means) students make grammatical mistakes when speaking or writing, they are not to be corrected. A few days ago, I spoke to the spouse of a January 6 defendant who has been in jail for months awaiting trial. She told me about the FBI raid of their home, which occurred at 9:30 p.m. on a Sunday night in front of their young child. (American Greatness is concealing their identities to minimize the risk of reprisal.)

Twenty agents showed up with weapons drawn to arrest him and ransack the house. She was taken into a separate room—the couple did not ask to have an attorney present—where she was interrogated by three FBI agents. They asked her who they voted for and which political party they identified with. The agents grilled her about what news channels they watched and their views on immigration, including the border wall.

She was asked if they followed QAnon. (The FBI has given lawmakers a report titled “Adherence to QAnon Conspiracy Theory by Some Domestic Violent Extremists,” which claims the “participation of some domestic violent extremists (DVE) who are also self-identified QAnon adherents in the violent siege of the US Capitol on 6 January underscores how the current environment likely will continue to act as a catalyst for some to begin accepting the legitimacy of violent action.”)

The FBI agents asked her if she belonged to a group such as the Oath Keepers or Three Percenters. She told me she had no idea what they were talking about.

“Obviously it was stupid to talk to the FBI, but we’re not criminals, we weren’t hiding anything, [and] I knew he did nothing wrong that day,” she told me by text. “I’d like to think I answered their questions wisely and honestly but now I realize . . . how they turn everything against you. Most of the questions I answered I don’t know or I can’t remember. I feel so stupid!!!”

She shouldn’t feel stupid for cooperating with a powerful government agency entrusted with tracking down real criminals, as opposed American citizens who did nothing wrong on January 6. The only people who should feel stupid are the FBI officials and agents conducting this destructive farce disguised as a legitimate investigation.

Republicans would do well to abandon their longtime, reflexive loyalty to the FBI. With all the talk of defunding the police, it’s clear the nation’s most powerful police department is a threat to civil liberties and the rule of law. Maybe it’s time to defund the FBI.

Brandeis University has issued new language that they suggest be used because the previous terms were too offensive, oppressive, and violent. Among those terms to obliterate is the phrase "trigger warning."

Want To Avoid Being Shot By Police? It’s Not Too Difficult

The following rules will keep you from getting shot by police, getting beat up by police, and having other problems with police:

Don’t shoot at them.
Don’t pull a weapon in their presence. Let them take any weapons from you.
Don’t provoke them by calling them “pig” or other names.
Don’t go for their weapons.
Don’t fight them.
Don’t give them attitude in voice or action.
Don’t resist arrest or try to escape.
Do what they say.
Respond, “Yes sir ” and “No sir.”
Don’t encourage your friends to taunt them, throw things at them, or stir up trouble with them.

These rules work for black, white, and brown people from anywhere, citizen or noncitizen, young or old, and will keep you out of trouble with the cops. It’s even smarter not to break the law in the first place because it brings cops looking for you.

The New Civil Liberties Alliance is fighting the systemic threats of the administrative state. With the Supreme Court shutting down for the summer, NCLA pointed out six wins over liberal bureaucrats and politicians.


The alliance announced, "As the U.S. Supreme Court’s October 2020 Term comes to a close, the New Civil Liberties Alliance is celebrating an unblemished 6-0 record for the amicus curiae briefs we filed in defense of civil liberties. The high court’s administrative power cases produced several unlikely majorities, including two NCLA amicus wins in the form of unanimous opinions written by Justice Sotomayor and Justice Breyer. Justice Gorsuch even quoted from NCLA’s amicus brief in his separate opinion in U.S. v. Arthrex. These six rulings in favor of NCLA’s positions show that our strategy of defending civil liberties against administrative power in the federal courts is working."
The group did not argue these cases. Instead it lent public support to those suing the government.

Wednesday a Daytona Beach police officer was shot in the head while making a routine inquiry of an individual he had spotted sitting in a parked car in front of a residence at night. The officer is still in critical condition. The shooter is a man named Othal Wallace aka O-Zone Wallace. Wallace was apprehended Saturday hiding in a treehouse in Georgia.

These amendments have survived for 229 years, but now Biden is urging the United States Supreme Court to “revisit” (read: disassemble) these under the guise of protecting “someone” from themselves.
