747 man Alan is still around .. on other SM platforms and i saw a pair of his infamous lilac shorts the other day whilst in Tescos but i was in the bank Q so could see if it was him... Alan a nice guy he was one of our first and regular customers in Chern Chim though i used to ask him to reverse in the car park so passers by couldnt see the Everton football crest on the back of his SUV.

The Danish manager maybe gambled on the rapid swap of players putting England's massive pressing (but never finishing) game off the rails, thus getting back into the game for that all-important late winner with 45% fresh legs? Sort of a Hail Mary pass? BTW, he only swapped 3 at the mid-way stage and the last one was done with 12 minutes regulation remaining. England did get rocked back a bit and took some time to settle before doing a great job of defeating Baldricksen's cunning plan and reasserting themselves but not before ET was needed. If the Danish subs had started being made 10 or 15 minutes later and saving one for ET?

Anyhoo, England's finishing was weak as their 10 off-target and 9 on-target attempts yielded NOTHING in 120 minutes (sorry, og's and penalties don't count). The Danes were 3 and 3 and actually scored one.

If they manage to finish like they did against Ukraine and get a couple in the first half against Italy, then they may get through the ensuing grindfest in regulation as DESERVING wnners. Failing that, they risk seeing 'Sir' Harry loping around during ET with a face like a lost bus inspector before the ignominy of doing a proper Southgate in the penalty shoot out. After all, it was only LUCK that gifted him the rebound after he totally bolloxed the spot kick.

Format.
