And still 95% of the people treated in hospitals for covid 19 is not vaccinatedGiggle wrote: ↑August 5, 2021, 7:36 pmsometimewoodworker wrote: ↑August 5, 2021, 1:38 pmThe Bottom Line
Scientists don’t yet know for sure the effects of receiving a vaccination while actively sick with COVID-19. For now, there is no evidence that being infected with COVID-19 changes the effectiveness of the vaccine or causes bodily harm. Getting vaccinated while you're sick will not likely boost your immune response against your current infection.
More importantly, this is a political exercise more than a medical one. Your classification is what's more important than your health. If your body's immune system fights off the Wuhan Flu, the glorious vaccine can't be credited with the save.
Your body must never be credited with anything. Only your life-giving, altruistic and benevolent government.
If you've been jabbed twice and still get the Chinese Crud, the vaccine will get credit for saving you -- twice. Never mind that the purpose of vaccines is to stop you getting it in the first place. If you get Wuhan Flu while already vaccinated, you must proclaim loudly, to the world, that it would have positively, without a doubt been much WORSE if you hadn't been vaccinated. No proof necessary.
This is theater.

One wonders when Governments will start charging those who have had the opportunity to get vaccinated, but will not ( apart from medical reasons ) will be charged for self inflicted illnesses, putting the rest of us at risk.
Re: Miscellaneous COVID-19/Corona Virus Discussion, Questions, etc.
It would appear that those who are vaccinated, stand a much better chance, against getting the severe effects from catching Delta, than those who have chosen not to get vaccinated. Granted, being fully vaccinated with Pfizer, also appears to give a greater level of protection against catching the Delta, than some of the other vaccines do.
Having some increased level of protection against initially catching Delta and or then the effect of Delta, is better than having no level of protection, at all.

Not really.
Your 7% is based on your consumption, nothing else.
However clean you live your life in Thailand, it is not going to affect the tax you pay in Sweden.
EDIT: For those who may be confused, this post was in response the Alfie's now deleted post above.

Interesting to see how Thailand's coup cousins are running things next door.
There is a lot more in the article worth reading.Myanmar is counting around 360 deaths from covid each day. This is one of the world’s highest fatality rates, relative to population. Yet it is probably an undercount, something which the junta has implicitly acknowledged: it is building ten crematoriums in Yangon, which will be capable of dispatching more than 3,000 bodies a day.

Over the years weve paid all.our taxes but in truth little to show for it .. its not like you can sign on fir the dole if your out ov work or moth ball the business as is the case at the moment due to covid.jackspratt wrote: ↑August 7, 2021, 7:07 pmSo Alfie, are you one of the very few Farangs in Udon who pay tax to the Thai government?
Interesting point of view re expats who pay tax being eligible for some associatted benefits such as the 30 bt health scheme for Thai nationals that run with a work permit for expats but mean using the government hospital system not private.
The Thai system for yearly income tax collection and social is quite well.policed however it amazes me the amount of busineeses / companies that operate without being even properly registered with the DBD office let alone VAT registered when its so obvious their income takes them.way over the threshhold not to be registered ..the government are missing out on millions n millions of baht in non payment of vat which is currently 7% with rumblings that could change next year.
Its always made me wonder how totally non registered non existent business go about obtaining the correct licenses to even trade ..
Back to misc covid ... have any members registered at more than one or multiple locations for a vaccine ? Either via their local doc or hospital or an on line website .. i was fortunate to be offered chance to register at a local MOPH dept today as well.as the expatvac site and BKKUDH which is possibly a few months away at best .

Jon, given you have paid taxes here for a number of years, and provided you can demonstrate some basic Thai language skills, will you at some stage qualify for Permanent Resident status?
Sorry for OT, but just a short response can probably answer the question.

Dm - as for small businesses payinf tax and VAT - not feasible given that they have no accounts! My wife runs a small business - and has at least 4 licenses to do so. But many items she buys to sell are from other small traders - no receipts, just cash. Likewise she sells the same way. No till, no accounts. If she did all that she would have to hire an accountant, buy a till etc. That would just about eat all her profits. Only way they can survive.
Already the issue is that formally employing one person would cut her net profit by half, with only modest increase in turnover. That is why most of these businesses remain sole trader/family operated because growing is expensive and bueaucratic.

How many deaths is Trump Derangement Syndrome responsible for?

And why is there never any discussion of treatments, either at home or in-patient?
Vaccination has completely dominated all discussion and sucked all the air from the room.

The rubber market / buyers have not been effected and price has remained ok , that said it does vary greatly bearing on certain criteria ..... in turn rubber tappers were allowed to still go out n cut during the curfew..
