Coming days? Like saying soon. Not very reassuring. No choice of vaccine, even citizens of the countries who donated vaccine. So what happened to the 150k of Pfizer vaccine set aside for foreigners?

The incoming Pfizer vaccines will be divided with 1.35 million vaccines going to Thai nationals and 150,000 reserved for foreigners living in Thailand. In total, 255,000 of the non-Sinovac vaccines have been reserved for expats and while that isn’t enough to vaccinate the entire foreigner population, it’s at least a start.

Allegedly that would only just cover a certain ex PM's close family  (assuming that is, he somehow got a replacement Thai passport)

My understanding is that in the rolling out of this scheme, no foreigner has been vaccinated yet. Whilst I'd probably be happy to pay a reasonable amount for a supposed quality vaccine (but I won't be shouting that at the hospital! ), just to be prepared, is the understanding that this is an entirely free service? If not for the vaccine itself, might there be a charge by the dispensing hospital for e.g. staff time?

Well, I thought it was a reasonable, sensible question to ask. i.e. under this initiative, did anyone have any evidence or expectation one had to pay?

It was a fair question, sensible question.

If you’re still interested, I registered & have not heard anything since the email confirmation.

We’d already registered at the local clinic which was visible here https://kps.udh.go.th/vaccine/ & interestingly (for me anyway) after registering on the expat page, this one started showing a queue number. I was number 17000 until yesterday when it changed to 25000.
However, the exact rounded to a thousand numbers suggested it’s not particularly accurate & also Mrs N getting the same queue numbers & not registering on the expat webpage suggest it’s purely coincidental the information appeared at the same time

Yep correct doodoo .. Moderna via the hospitals requires payment .. other routes via registration at local MOPH locations and the expatvac website do not .. re the website , the vaccines being used for these were donated by the USA (Ph) / UK (AZ) and clearly stated they are to be given FOC...i havent heard of any places charging for services such as staff etc to administer the jab.

Hope that helps Brian ..

And by the time you get the vaccine you paid for, odds are at this rate , it will be too late, and you will already have been infected. What a farce!!!

Moderna hasn't collected anything.

Private hospitals have collected deposits for Moderna.

There's no confirmation that I can find that the Government Procrastination Office has approved any of the purchase orders issued for Moderna by private hospitals
