You may be the only person who doesn't know that the survival rate is 99+% in every country on Earth! Stating the obvious, recorded cases are only a fraction of actual infections. Your statistics are too elementary for most folks. Are you going to begin touting 98%? when your 99% figure is crossed next month?

Survival rate is over 99%? Well yes, as a population. Because not everybody has had Covid-19. Of course, how many have actually had it is hard to tell, but going by antibody tests about 20% is probably about 'average'. Excess deaths are the best indicator of actual mortality - so in the UK we know that there were 95,000 more deaths in 2020 than 2019. That equates to 0.15% of the population.it is about 25% higher than the 'counted' Covid-19 deaths. In 2021 so far another 60,000 covid-19 deaths were 'counted'. This gives total % loss of UK population as about 0.25% so far.

However that doesn't tell the whole story. Flu deaths were negligible due to Covid-19 control measures, and in the 0-24 age group excess deaths were actually negative (i.e. lower total deaths), due no doubt to during lockdowns and other control measures, presumably a lot less accidental deaths in this age group. So actual total covid-19 deaths are a little higher.

Due to vaccination, deaths are now lower, although case numbers are still high. If there had been no vaccination, and everyone had got Covid-19, a total death rate of about 1% would seem possible. And remember, you can catch it more than once......

Spanish flu had a death rate of about 1.25% of the population in the UK. Covid-19 is showing no signs of dying out yet.

Besides deaths there's also a big quality of life issue. The bigger step a person takes to avoid Covid 19, it seems the larger the deterioration in their quality of life. Income will also be down for many people in many countries. And anxiety up. Covid is serious shxt. Particularly in Thailand.

I do not think that I could have provided a better example of an inhospitable and malevolent fear merchant had I composed it myself.

You can always identify the fear merchants and their emotional theatrical incontinence of predicting massive death and hardship. Their opinion. No data. Just emphatically determined to predict more death and hardship. Because.

The reality of these fear merchants is not a conspiracy theory or made up. They articulate their predictions well. It is all in their own words. Predicting more death because they are predicting more death. Because they say so.

Any adult with good sense knows that the unknown nature of the virus, new variants, and the recent increased unpredictability with vaccine issues, may cause Thailand (and every country) to suffer a higher fatality ratio than they currently have. I have watched it rise from 0.80% to now just over 0.90% during this spike (which every country has experienced). Despite all the spikes in other countries, the world survival rate is still 97+% (and it is getting close to 98% survival). In Thailand, the virus has infected less than 2% of the population. For Thailand to do worse than the rest of the world would be an anomaly. What would cause Thailand to be worse than the rest of the world? The fear merchants do not tell us. They only provide their "we're all gonna die" drama-filled opinions (see the quote above).

From the very beginning, I have been encouraged and applaud Thailand's low fatality ratio, and I hope the country gets through this spike. I pray every day that Thailand can maintain and that the virus will wane here as it has done in other countries after spiking.

as said before , your simplistic version takes no account of variables. most cases have been in bangkok which has a much lower age group. if you wish to inform us please give us a breakdown of who is dying and what age groups. as pointed out by yourself there is not much different numbers from world numbers. so what point are you trying to get across ?
