farmer you are not totally wrong,of course there are places where food is not stored/handled/cleaned correctly and some people will pick up a bug and get the sh!ts for sure , but i would'nt say its "dangerous" to eat street food,it's more dangerous crossing a busy road in Bangkok. !farmer wrote:So,I must be wrong
Most of us on here seem to enjoy the street food and no ones mentioned they have been in hospital for it , so the proof is in the pudding.

also i love the thai style Korean bbq (in udon thani),very cheap and very tasty imo
a very sociable and enjoyable meal,as you cook food on the table with every one joining in as well, great fun
bbq beef,pork,chicken,liver,squid.. and soup with mixed veg, egg, noodles all in one bbq pan on your table, love it

Beer monkey,what I mean is,NEWCOMER,like me about 7 years before,knowing nothing,have to be carefully.They maybe don't think about,what you said correctly before.
Of course, you and me and many people, living here, know, where we can go for eat without a problem.???No,sorry,I must correct myself.Always hopefully,to have no problem. You never know and a risk is everywhere.
Even in my shop I find sometimes things are not like they have to be.
Believe me,I take care,everyday.
So,I think,in this Topic NEWCOMERS and oldies find a lot of nice places to check out for eat.I have some, very small shops, hidden,so I don't know how to discripe.
So,now I slurp my Frankfuter Applewine with Soda, eating Sauerkraut.
I must loose weight...hard fugged job

In the 17 years I come to Thailand I only have food poisoning the last 3 years and I live here full time for 6 years. Go figure. Except That fish-in-alu-foil I ordered in a Bangkok restaurant at 8 pm when my plane was leaving at 12pm. You guessed it, I occupied one of the planes toilets for hours...
Especially this year, 3 food poisonings already: one in the village here after eating fried rice with chiken, I think they cut some pre-cooked chicken (and stored at 35C) AFTER frying the rice. 3 months ago I had a run to the toilet 30 minutes after eating at the Charoensri Grand buffet!!! and just last week after eating fried rice with chicken again at foodstall 21 near the big screen on the Udon night market.
I now have interdiction to eat from food stalls from the wife
