At absolute best bet 10-15 years before Australia has a domestically built nuke attack sub. So, if that is AUKUS's "first priority" good lordy what's the 2nd??

When I use the drop down for the forum there is no option for World News or much else, so I posted in "General Topics". All searches came up blank. Apparently you don't have an opinion on the topic, so maybe you should just STFU instead ..

Interesting link. Perhaps the Aussie government might soon start building lots of nuclear bunkers in Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney and in Peter Dutton's backyard.

In New Zealand, we have Chinese construction companies with workers from China doing construction work. They could build the bunkers here if we need them.

Maybe the EU will persuade the French to cancel the change over from Nuclear to Diesel and sell them to the UK and the US for delivery to Australia. As its been reported France was retro fitting Diesel in stead of Nuclear in twelve boats as Australia at the time did NOT want Nuclear.

As an aside many many years ago while wasting time in Aden dealing with the local ragheads in 1967, one night a mfew of us had opur research hats on and we came up with the conclusion at that time , not including the use of Nuclear Weapons of any sort . The Weat which included all of NATO, and then SEATO , plus the Russians, would runout of ammunition to shoot the then 10 million strong Chinese Army and they would breed quicker than we would shoot them, that was then now 60 years on it would be a worse scenario I am sure.

War with China unless you are on their side wqould not be a win win situation , a country with 1.5 billion people is some task to subjugate
