It will be 6 1/2 months, from the date of my second vacination shot, to the day that I arrive in Thailand

The policy where I am is that the Government/Medical Institutions, will only adminster the 3rd Booster shot of Pfzier to me 8 Months after the date of my 2nd Pfzier shot, so I cannot get my Booster shot before I travel.

I've just gone through the whole process so, can recite most of the requirements by heart! I'm returning in 4 days via Phuket with 7 folders of documents (to become 8 after pre flight Covid test).

Just booking flights and looking at possible hotes in Phuket at this time.

I am still contemplating going through the Phuket Sandbox, have ex-work friend down in Karon Beach, to catch up with, so the Phuket Sandbox entry suits me.

That's assuming that at end October 2021, Thailand still enforces or requires, the mandatory 2 week quarantine period, on all incoming fully vaccinated Tourists? Who knows, the quarantine rules may change by then.

Just a FYI yesterday there was a big push for Thai vaccinations. The media are reporting 1,400,000 people got their 1st or second shot (I think it maybe 1st) SWMBO was one of them.

The city is shooting for 47,000+ vaccine shots to be administered 24-25 Sept......in honor of Mahidol Day.
I know there were crowds at Rajaphat and many people at Central yesterday....but today with the rain, I'm not sure.
The good news is people are getting vaccinated.

Absolutely with you on that. There has been so much suspicion and superstition that linking getting vaccinated to showing respect for the late individual and ancestors was a smart move. In my opinion the why isn’t very important and any reason will do. The second jab in the middle of next month is going to be AZ. It will be interesting to see if there are studies done on this combination that get published. The test group is satisfyingly big.

SWMBO is reporting nothing more than a little tired ness and a slightly sore arm. She was very complimentary about the skill of her nurse and didn’t feel the jab only the vaccine going in.

Melbourne cases hit record despite two months of lockdown

SYDNEY, Sept 30 (Reuters) - Melbourne's COVID-19 cases surged to record levels on Thursday with officials blaming illegal home gatherings to watch a key sporting event for the spike as a hard lockdown to combat the spread of the Delta variant neared two months.

Authorities in Victoria, home to Melbourne, estimated nearly a third of Thursday's 1,438 new infections could be traced back to home parties last weekend to watch the Australian Rules Football Grand Final on television.
