One Canadian voted for Manchester City - me - even though I realise that Newcastle United is a more logical choice to join the elites. It would be interesting to see Man City move up a bit in the rarer atmosphere enjoyed by that other side claiming to reside in Manchester. Furthermore, a good result by Man City would create lots of comments for the Bangkok Post and Nation, and for ex-pats here and on Thaivisa The manager and owner will be headline makers if the squad achieves success, and not necessarily for football related news.

I just had to go with my head... Obviously I'd want Liverpool in first but then again I also want to have kids with Tata Young so that is 2 things that aren't going to happen anytime soon.

I wonder if Man. City are on the bottom of the table at Christmas will the fans have a coup d'etat!!! Deja vouz or what!!!!!! Maybe Thaksin can go on the run across the border to the sanctuary.......... Of Wales!!!

Ok Galee, we have 6 people who believe Man City will be in the top four this season.

Either they don't know anything about the game WHATSOEVER, or....... they know something that we don't 8)

Anyway, I would be happy to wager 1000 baht with each of you that Man City do not finish in the top 4. What the hell, make it 5000....any takers?

Only sometimes!!!!

I known City fans are renown for their loyalty, but there's a big difference between wishful thinking and reality.

This thread will be kept alive for many months if we throw in a few pounds.

To start the betting, I would be prepared to wager a few pounds om Man City.

All of you who know better, what odds do you offer?

And who volonteers to be the bookmaker?

Ralph,

It is a good rule to put one's money where the mouth is, so I'll bet on Man City to be one of the top four teams as discussed here.

Odds 20-1 like Ladbrokes?

How much/little can we bet and still keep it friendly?

I suggest that the winner also sets aside a few bath to buy some beers for us to celebrate his good luck.

Sanuk, great fun!

Golfer to be, Iwould not like to rob you, Ladbrokes prices are 50-1 to finish in the top 4, and 1000-1 to win the league or the Cup!!!

So maybe we should just have the beer , when Pompey play Man C!!! :guiness:
