My understanding is they were both contacted, and agreed to accept a joint award ............ until they discovered it wasn't from the Epoch Times.

The dynamic duos of Tamada and Khun Paul; and Doodoo and Laan Yaa Mo suffered the same fate.

It's tamada. All lower case.

Unlike Musk, I resist capitalizing on my fame.

Well I certainly wouldn't accept any award from the leftist rag, Time! I mean hell they named Creepy Uncle Joe and Hooker Harris joint person of the year last year--what credibility do they have to award anyone? Another leftist tyrant, Hitler, was once their man of the year too....

He doesn't seem upset. Indeed, he appears to be providing pertinent facts for the edification of the reader. How many members knew that Hitler had been named Time's Man of the Year?

Now, you've really smashed the publication's credibility. It's been known for decades Trump has short-fingers.

Hitler wasn’t a leftist. Tyrant? Yes.
A few other well known historical "centrists" (sic) also made it:

- Stalin 1939 & 1942
- Khrushchev 1957
- Ayatollah Khomeini 1979
- Deng Xiaoping 1985

More salient probably is how many members cared to know?

* * *

Even a "moderate conservative" should know that Nazis are national SOCIALISTS.

That is all Left, all totalitarian, all day, all the time (just like communism, fascism, any dictatorship and pure monarchies). Anyone who places Hitler far right is only revealing that they are embracing the Left's propaganda, which tries to link Hitler to conservatism.

If all of the totalitarian forms of government are on the far Left, but Hitler is on the far right, where does no-government Anarchy fall on that continuum? Where does pure democracy and constitutional republic fall on that continuum? And what makes Hitler's national socialist totalitarian government so different from the other totalitarian governments to segregate it and place it to the other extreme?

Oh Challo. Nazism is a form of fascism that has disdain for liberal democracy. So how could Hitler be considered a “leftist”?

Neo-Nazism is applied to other far right groups with the same ideology, like the far right extremists here in the States.

The former Republican POTUS dreamed of being a dictator, he loved the Proud Boys and other extremists like them.

Neo-Nazis are NOT Hitler. Hence, the prefix "NEO." Extremists are independent groups of thugs and not forms of government. The Nazis ushered in socialist totalitarian government and had total control. Neo-Nazis make noise.

So you claim that Nazism is a form of fascism that has disdain for liberal democracy. That is the same as communism and pure monarchies and dictatorships. They are all Left, and that includes the National Socialists.

Where does no-government Anarchy fall on your Left-Right continuum? It cannot be somewhere in the middle. That is not how a Left-Right continuum works.

Where does pure democracy and constitutional republic fall on that continuum?

And what makes Hitler's national socialist totalitarian government so different from the other totalitarian governments to segregate it and place it to the other extreme?

Declan breaks out this hoary old myth from time to time - going back as far as 2012, and a thread about the French presidential election.

It gets shot down, and then things move on till the next time. ;)

LOL. Challo, Hitler did not even believe in socialism. He was a fascist who preached nationalism and white supremacy. Remind you of anyone? And I don’t believe I ever stated Hitler was a Neo-Nazi.

Mr. Volstead, you have a rough time telling others here what they think. Now you are going to state that the head of the National Socialist German Workers' Party did not even believe in socialism? Maybe you have something in Hitler's writings that prove this or some rare audio or video recording.

If he was a fascist, as you claim, that puts him far Left and totalitarian all the time, every day. The Nazis, no matter how you try to describe it, were in total control and totalitarian; and Hitler led them.

I never said that you believed Hitler was a Neo-Nazi. You brought up the Neo-Nazi comparison:
Neo-Nazism is applied to other far right groups with the same ideology
And as I stated, thug groups like Neo-Nazis are not governments. Neo-Nazis only make noise. Nazis were elected to hold office.
