Is it a special this week? I was there last weekend and did not see Greek Salad on the menu or specials.

Thanks.
It's on the specials black board menu so I'm guessing it's new this week.

Heck, you don't mean ACDO (Astley Dye and Chemical) run by Brendan Pilling with the funny eye in north Bolton do you? Ahhh. that takes me back!!!

I asked him what were the biological bits in the ACDO washing powder were made from, and he said "blue stuff"

I prefer Rowntrees or Terrys (just gone bust I understand) chocolate myself, from the home town (omigod a Kit Kat, a fruit pastel or polos), But yes....move it from cold place to cold place on your journey... or a serious mess when you get here. Nice though!!

Oh, thanks. I'll check it out next time I go there. Probably not until next weekend since I'm flying to Bangkok this Friday.

Thanks a lot.

Hard question that Tony as usually you dont think about it until you are doing something and then think "oh I wish I had ...."

Let me think about what I cant find .... hmmmm

Jif (Cif) cleaner - the nearest I can find is vim scouring powder and it awful to use.

Normal household bleach is not so easy to find

Decent sausages

Hash browns

Tabloid newspapers (for a little light reading :) )

J-Cloths

cadbury's chocolate - that really tastes like cadburys (not the malaysian or indonesian crap)

rice pudding (a-la ambrosia etc)

Real cakes - especially fresh cream ones - mmmmmm

grrrr - I told you its difficult to think of things off the top of my head.
What I will do is post this and then edit it as I come to think of things in the next few days.

Any other brits feel free to add to my list

Its come to the point that we can't find here we have come to live without.(well my relatives did bring me a bottle of Jif out last year LOL)

Cheers
Paul

I can't understand why no one mentioned TEA BAGS. Are you all happy to drink that stuff that comes from those yellow bags or have you discovered a substitute I am unaware of? A nice cup of tetleys or brooke bond would be an elixire to me.

Pickes... I noticed the lack of cucumber pickles as soon as I got here so I researched the recipe and I started making my own (thank God they have fresh cucumbers here). Maybe I'll start a business selling pickles  they turned out great by the way

By the way, has anyone seen lentils here? My supply is running low. I asked my maid and she did not know.
Thanks.

I can help you a little bit Lee:

You can get walkers crisps in the Irish Clock, along with newcastle Brown Ale, John Smiths (cans at the moment - draught very soon and also cider very soon too.

Enjoy :)

I'm not sure who you are referring to? The list I supplied were not items I missed but English products that are not available in Thailand. I can certainly can live without them all and have been doing so for the past couple of years, however it would be nice to see a couple of the items I listed on the shelves in Tesco

Olives in Tesco
any idea where. I have found the little onions in a jar there (near fresh veggies).
Steak from Thai French
Ok, so what and where is Thai French. Also might be helpful to know where the beef is from, plus grade. I have already tried the shoe leather from Robertsons.

Relish --- Sorry dunno
Well there is the hot dog relish at Tesco, the one mixed with mustard. But I rarely eat hot dogs, but use relish to make other things.
and incase you forgot to mention Vegemite --- Plenty in my fridge
So what the _____ is Vegemite :?:

Did not mean you or anyone Lee. If I offended anyone it was not intentional. It was put out as said just a question. Some interesting responses also.
