For those who espouse thoughts on aboriginals in Australia, an update. There are no aboriginal reservations in Australia. There are self administered aboriginal communities that are endowed with significant funding from an Australian society that acknowledges past wrongs and is striving to right those wrongs. However there is not one single aboriginal in Australia that is obliged to live in these highly subsidised communities.

Historically there were many disgraceful things done to aboriginals. At the risk of saying 'yes but' or 'look over there' the same situation existed in most of the colonised world, USA, Canada etc.

None of my aboriginal mates live in an aboriginal community, these communities mostly exist in rural areas, I have a lot of 'abbo' mates many of them since childhood, I include some of my grandchildren with aboriginal ancestors.

Of course Jack, there are none. Australian navy ships carry the proud designation HMAS. Kicked the bejesus out of the Germans in WW1, and showed the yanks how to defeat the Japanese in the following,. Came after the Japanese kicked ---- out of the amateurs at Pearl Harbour. Some history, so called history buffs need to go back to the library.

Back to the subject at hand. As a whitey inducted as an Aora man, I am proud of my kouri mates that serve in the military, but even they are not interested to join the best navy in the world, which has been the past for several centuries, the UK Navy.

This thread was about America coming apart, not the UK, not Canada, not Australia. It appears from so many posts, some posters have taken on the role of bashing other countries. A real case of people in glass houses, and being obnoxious in the process.

No developed nations in the world have the issues that exist in the USA, thus this thread. Mobs of demented thugs have not attacked Westminister, Ottawa, Canberra, Bonn. Paris, Welligton etc. This has only happened in the developed world in the USA. 60+ court cases have totally debunked 'the we wuz stoled' rhetoric of the nutters that seem to be a phenomena exclusive to the USA. Damn there are a lot of them, brain dead, devoid of any rational thinking, just devouring nutty theories like pringles stuffed down the gob or a mindless TV watching crazy. This without a single shred of evidence. Forget about century old or even decade old issues in other nations, this crazy behaviour is taking place today, and gets more bizzare by the day, but almost exclusivly in the USA.

Oh dear, I was brought to believe that you cannot take the P out of POOH, so until you learn to accept that the Immigrants and their descendants set about removing all traces of native Americans apart from a few you allowed to live in geographical concentrations/locations and accept that the CIVIL war you all had was also about freeing the slaves . Yep they have but like many who travelled the path to seek newer pastures, fed BullS**T . Sort of reminds me about the Gestapo Guards ( really polite,pleasant and in some cases pretty )at the Concentration camps really nice and polite in order to herd the Jews into a gas chamber for a cleansing experience so no illness and dirt is brought into the camps infecting others. After the door is shut the realisation dawns and death occurs.

I remember some time ago, when I was young to the forum, asking Bob Helm his impression of Kuhn Paul.

I am pretty sure one of the words he used was "obnoxious" - the above would clearly support that.

The ones I've met, went to school with and worked with wouldn't support that ridiculous statement. They came to the United States with well thought out plans and have succeeded in achieving their goals. Off hand I can think of only one person who returned to his home county (Turkey) and he took his American wife with him.

I'm sure lots of foreign students return home but I don't know what percentage that might be.
