Two absolute legends on the same day - unbelievable.

Australia cricket legend and the greatest leg-spinner of all-time, Shane Warne, has died, aged 52.

Warne’s management released a brief statement in the early hours of Saturday (AEDT), that he passed away in Koh Samui, Thailand, of a suspected heart attack.

Very sad news. Big, big shock. I was only made aware of his brief history with Lancashire cricket last year. It's common knowledge that there's at least a couple of Accrington kids who never met their Aussie dad.

A genius, a legend, a rascal, a showman, an entertainer, the first man to 600 and 700 Test wickets, the greatest leg spinner to ever live. All of these things describe Shane Warne. What a record he had, and what a legacy he leaves. Long live the Legend.

I had been thinking Warne must have been examined and tested by heaps of doctors and scientists from various disciplines over the years and he ought to have been aware of his health issues. Judging from the reports of his dieting, he seems to have been a bit flaky on health issues.
