Friendship Bridge
I'm just wondering what the latest procedure is for visiting the duty free shops on the Friendship bridge for a tourist visa falang and Thai partner. You leave Thailand, but not actually enter Laos I think. I went there 12 years ago and was able to take my car across for 30 thb. Thanks

Some borders allow Thai, Lao, Cambodian, Malay citizen to crosskakariki wrote: ↑April 25, 2022, 7:35 pmI'm just wondering what the latest procedure is for visiting the duty free shops on the Friendship bridge for a tourist visa falang and Thai partner. In my posts all fees and requirements are the standard R&R but TIT and a brown envelope can make incredible changes YMMV.

Re: Friendship Bridge
I think I read something on the big forum that falang individuals aren't allowed to cross the bridges to Laos at the moment but if you are part of a tour group, you can? Maybe some enterprising tourist businesses can arrange for a group of one or two?
As for the duty free shops, not sure if they are up and running due to the long closures.
