UPDATE ON OUR TRIP, NONG & EDDIE

hey boys,
well the trip is going GREAT ( now just waiting for the other shoe to drop

) Nong has been wide eyed since landing at JFK, that would be in NYC to those of you who don't know

. Today went to Manhattan, top of the Empire State Building, absolutely perfect day for it!!!
downtown to the 9-11 site, still very moving to be there. Chinatown and Little Italy, great foods

. Saturday we head south to Myrtle Beach, for you who don't know, its in South Carolina. All is well, and VicVegas, thanks for the update on the restaurant, guys, those who visit and post will be justly rewarded upon our return

, will just have to wait and see with what

The weather in the USA in July is as hot as Thailand. Here in Virginia it has been in the high nineties for weeks. South Carolina, a few hundred miles to the south, should be a bit hotter. Nong will be happy to return to a cooler Udon Thani.

One of my wife's dreams is to visit New York, your post brings it ever closer.

I have much prefered 7-11 to 9-11 it's the bing bong when entering, the air-con and the staff!

Don't know if I could "emotionally" visit that site, have had enough trouble trying to visit "Bridge over the River Kwai" in Thailand. What were your thoughts when there?

Was the Empire State as impressive as per the TV? This is somewhere where Aom would love to go!

It's just the cost of the shopping that put's me off

Not to mention the cost of hotels in NYC, ouch! A great place to visit for sure, though, with so much to see and do. Only Washington DC can touch it as a place to visit in the USA, IMO. Well, OK. MCRD San Diego is high on my personal list.

Good to hear you folks are enjoying the vacation, Eddie and Nong.

hey guyz, yeah BanPhu, the 9-11 site was an emotional visit, but we who are left must press on and NEVER FORGET !!!!!! and the Empire State Building is much more impressive in person than on t.v. i guess I could compare it to listening to a football game on the radio or watching the same game from the best seats in the house, just no comparision. LA, as soon as I hear from Wokkawombat, I'll see if any photos are available

. Be honest John, you had the goodies now for the not so pleasant

. All in good fun my Aussie friend !!!! now in Myrtle Beach, just perfect weather, tonight going out , been shopping most of today (which Nong REALLY ENJOY'S

) I hope all is well with you all and should there be any problems at the restaurant, PM me, and will address all.

Ok, I serviced the Chev (you made a typo there Eddie) and have pics taken at the service centre for La. Strange man that La.........

I have to hand it to you yanks. You sure know how to keep your customer base. The idea of all you can eat steak and all you can drink Leo for 30 Baht per person was inspired. I have taken at least 10 friends there every night for the last week. The place is really packed.

Yeah,but the best deal was ''all you could take home'' for 40 baht!The place shoiuld really be ''clean'' when you get back!

PM:Enclosing a bill for the new glassware and dishes!Business has been so brisk on the ''takeaway'',we needed more ''stuff''until the ''others''are returned.Got a good deal with a professional decorator(likes imported things) and they should be finished with the remodeling before you get back!The New Marquee should be finished then also,but the slot machines won't be delivered on time!So as not to disappoint all the new clientele we are canceling all the gambling loans made last week!Afterall,''craps''is a new game to most of them.And don't worry about the police,they assured us that their 60% interest in the business will still allow you to make a good living until the new government is formed!They promised to make a strong referral for you at that time with ''whoever is in charge''.mai pen rai!!!

If your interested in expansion to 2-3 other sites,let us know!A guy came by yesterday with some good ideas,so bring more money,you are going to make a small fortune and friends maak maaak

Allow me to relate the first time I heard that phrase.

When I first moved to Vegas in 2000, I was sitting at the bar in a strip club one night, just drinking my beer and enjoying the parade of hot, scantily dressed women. An absolute stunner slowly struts by, and every guy at the bar stops and turns in their barstool to eyeball her. She was so hot that it seemed like everything stopped just so we could check her out.

The guy sitting next to me leans over and says, "Sure she's hot, but somewhere there's a guy who's tired of her sh*t."

hey boyz, well here in Myrtle Beach, SC, it is just as freakin hot as in Thailand, Nong is in her glory. Trip is going extremely well, just a bit expensive, well, WELCOME TO AMERICA!!!!!! tonight fireworks show by Grucci ( not sure of the spelling, but am sure the fireworks will be awsome !!!!!!!!! tomorrow head back to NY, where it will be twice as expensive, oh well. hope all is well back in Udon, will be back at the restaurant night of the 23rd, free Margaritas to all who show up for our return, I think by 7:30pm, I'll ask the boss when she wakes up

hey nong & eddy, glad too hear all is going well with your trip. if you go through Jacksonville NC, stop by the Fishermans Wharf and tell the owners that Johnny S sends his regards, that should be good enough for a free drink !!!! Can not wait until Sept when we all come back again, still got steaks on the special board??? don't worry, your ribs are worth the trip by themselves. see you and Nong soon!!!!
