How did Andrew Windsor pay for it? I can't recall a report saying he'd borrowed the money from say a bank. Perhaps he secretly borrowed from an oligarch. I think the Queen is the most likely source of the funds to compensate the plaintiff.AlexO wrote: ↑June 2, 2022, 5:08 pmYip just a halfwit troll. You're a hard man calling the plaintiff an ex-hooker. Perhaps you should be using the equivalent language against Andrew Windsor. After all he looked very dodgy on the telly. He's clearly another very prominent British serial liar.
There's a public holiday in NZ on Monday for the Queen's birthday. I'm glad she's not fronting every event to mark her birthday. It's cruel to put such an old girl through all that.

it wasn't inflammatory speculation but sourced from an article in a highly regarded national paper
not surprised if it fed news to squelch rumour

So she just volunteered to shag any celebrity that happened to come along to the island without receiving any money for clothes or food etc. or was she just chained to a bed and had to do it whether willing or not?GT93 wrote: ↑June 3, 2022, 2:20 amHow did Andrew Windsor pay for it? The holiday on Monday is to mark HM The Queens 70th year of reign not her birthday, do try and keep up instead of just waving at passing cars all day.
Re: HM Queen Elizabeth II's 96th Birthday
I can't see a bank lending Windsor this money. The risk to its reputation is too great. It was either the Queen or a dodgy oligarch. I think Windsor is even too toxic for many dodgy oligarchs. The Queen can play the mother card. Many would be kind and forgive her.
I think the Queen should have had the decency to apologize to the plaintiff's parents. That would have been honourable.

When will some people get it through their dense Brains, that as NO Court has convicted Prince Andrew, therefore calling him anything than a man who was in the wrong place at the wrong time stupidly .is not yet a crime calling .
The payout was agreed as I understand it to thwart any further attacks on the Monarchyu, Her Majesty and the rest of the family which were starting to appear from Keyboard warriors has we have here, lacking any credibility .
MAny ciuvil casesare settled with out of court settlements and this one I believe was such that NO admission of Guilt was agreed to nor even offered. The situation was wrapped up as soon as Proven evidence was starting to emerge about the Plaintiff which was counterproductive to her case. So taking the offer and go away was for her the best option . In my book telling tales and her thirst for monetary recompense was a success, but has tarnished her credibility, but not as much as the Media and unthinking thoughtless people ( including some on here ) have decided that he is guilty no matter what.
Despite no conviction or admission or even proof apart from a photo and that has been proven to be doctored.
So unless some of you get sexual pleasure for talking rubbish about someone not even convicted, why do you not just keep quiet and give your brain a chance to assimilate all the evidence not just what you want to believe. and then you can talk with some conviction.
As I understand it, payment of this bill was met by Andrew with assistance from the family ,and also by being aware possible future inheritances would not be forthcoming

Re: HM Queen Elizabeth II's 96th Birthday
Perhaps she did? No need for the public to be advised if any commiseration was offered. Either way, I don't think we will see the plaintiff coming back for more.GT93 wrote: ↑June 4, 2022, 4:13 pmI can't see a bank lending Windsor this money. The risk to its reputation is too great. I read that Andy also sold his ski chalet for a few million and mum topped up the legal bill. Loving and forgiving mum's can do that. If some think that's wrong then maybe they didn't experience a mother's love. After all Andy wasn't a serial killer or the like.

Link to the article please, so we can check if it is a quoted fact or just another tongue in cheek supposition from a fiction writer masquerading as a journalist. Andrew as a member of the Royal Family is, or was not short of a bob or two, whether property or valuables so 12 mill might not have been too much of a nut grinder for him.pepesgrill wrote: ↑June 4, 2022, 8:27 amsource: telegraph.co.uk

Re: HM Queen Elizabeth II's 96th Birthday
True. And the amount he had to pay was ridiculous. I suppose Virginia Giuffre deserves some stick for vacuuming up so much.

Re: Prince Andrew, Duke of York KG GCVO CD ADC(P)
Didn't Andrew Windsor admit it when he borrowed all that money from his mum to stop the litigation? Didn't he convict himself before the court of public opinion in the Maitlis interview? In the interview he looked as dodgy as Boris Johnson. I understand few Britons believed Windsor.
I think the better argument for Windsor is that it wasn't a criminal case and hardly the tort of the year although the Windsors had to pay a fortune for the case to go away (big bad headlines). I think he was sued for battery and the intentional infliction of emotional distress. What a cad.
I guess the plaintiff knew the Queen was paying as it was common knowledge Andrew Windsor isn't a man of great financial means. Well done to her attorneys. They really roasted Queen Elizabeth's favourite child.

Re: Prince Andrew, Duke of York KG GCVO CD ADC(P)
When, where and to whom did he state that to? As far as I am aware since the out of Court settlement Andrew has made no public announcements or given any interviews so it is the usual with you and a few others, just speculation to satisfy your childish dislike of anything British. If the HM The Queen did actually pay the sum, what's the big drama about that. Her money, she can do what she likes with it.GT93 wrote: ↑June 5, 2022, 7:50 amDidn't Andrew Windsor admit it when he borrowed all that money from his mum to stop the litigation? Sure, formally he denied it as part of the settlement. That's why he had to pay so much. I'll judge him from his career ending Maitlis interview. That's enough for me.
I don't dislike everything British. There are many many things to admire about the UK.
